I smell coolant when I park in the garage. Noticed my main coolant reservoir was low. I don't see any pink in the engine bay nor any drips on the ground. Are there common places the 3.6 likes to leak coolant? Figured I would ask before just blindly trying to find a small leak I guess.

Mine has been doing this same thing for a while and for the life of me can find and leakage anywhere. My coolant cap was maybe half turn loose but still have the small. My smell comes from drivers side front by headlight area

My 2015 Sahara 3.6 always smelled of antifreeze. Didn't lose any and didn't put any on the ground. Very odd but I got used to it.

My wife’s JK has done this since we bought it 3 years ago..it was a small pin size hole in the radiator. I never added any and it never showed low or and drips in the garage. Never had any cooling issues. Try looking around the radiator sides.

My 2018 did the same thing and after taking it in to the dealer and them saying it was fine I looked and finally found the one end cap on the radiator had a small leak on the bottom end, apparently this is common as the end caps are crimped on and they have gaskets and they are prone to leak if not crimped properly so I took it back in and they replaced it, that was 6 years ago and no issues so far.

The JK's have the antifreeze odor, because one has the opened vent from the coolant overflow bottle. Just keep a good Mopar 17 lb. Radiator cap on it, and the Oder should be minimal. I replace the cap every three years on ours.
The JL's should not have this issue.

Are radiators under the 5/60 power train warranty?
A Jeep Wrangler JL's radiator is typically covered under the standard 3-year/36,000-mile basic limited warranty, meaning that's the timeframe within which a faulty radiator would be covered by the manufacturer.

I had a coolant smell at 15k and never saw any coolant leaking or on the ground.
After replacing the radiator with an aftermarket smell stopped.
At 27k started smelling coolant again. Water pump was leaking.

My Jk did this too. Coolant reservoir took 7 yrs and 80k miles to hit low mark… topped it off then and it was fine. My JL is just as bad of a coolant smell… 39k miles and still is full. They just smell lol

Not a JK/JL but my 3.6L badass Town&Country developed a crack on the thermostat housing. Had one hell of a time finding the leak as it dries up rather fast when stopped. I suspect the plastic housing is common on the 3.6L so there is a plethora of replacements available, in aluminum. Like the oil cooler/filter housing that developed a leak. about 135k on the engine.

No. Internally lubricated only parts only; engine, tranny, differential, etc….
Word. Ignore the leak and let it overheat. Boom new engine under warranty. Dealers hate this one easy trick!

I'm 99% sure the radiator is covered under powertrain. Anything that could directly harm the powertrain like this is usally covered. Same with oil leaks.

Mine had always gone down to the minimum mark on the overflow tank. Never had any coolant in the garage until a couple of months ago and I could barely see some pink on the upper part of the hose connecting underneath the tank. That 2 piece overflow tank is designed to eventually fail and no issues since replacing back in October.
