I hate mudflaps, but I hate rock chips even more. My 2026 Moab 392 has a wider track than my 2021 Rubicon, since it is built like a 2025 Rubicon XR. You can see that even the wheel opening extensions have wheel opening extensions. However, they do not prevent rock chips on the door hinges. Did I mention I hate rock chips? I did two things to try to eliminate chips:

1.) I added PPF (Paint Protection Film) to the door hinges
2.) I installed WeatherTech mudflaps
Jeep Wrangler JL I hate mudflaps, but I hate rock chips even more .... mudflap1

WeatherTech said their mudflaps will not fit a JL Rubicon with the XR trim, so I held off on ording them. But being from Missouri, and hearing all the rocks hitting the door hinges while on a gravel road, I had to see for myself. I made them fit. I had no choice if I wanted to sleep at night. I think the install came out OK. I just hope they work.

Looks good! I hate mud flaps as well, but after the first day of driving out of our gravel lot at work and hearing the loud pings of the stones smacking off my doors and fenders, I immediately ordered a set of ugly and ridiculously overpriced RokBlokz for behind the fronts. Still looks kinda dumb, but not super-noticeable. And anyone tailgating me for the first quarter-mile of my journey home.. good luck!

I hate mudflaps too, but yours came out looking decent enough. Had them on my first truck and first time out in the dirt, had to back up to navigate a deep ditch and couple got torn right off my truck...unbolted the others and tossed em lol.

I do think the clear protective on the hinges is good idea and maybe could put it on the whole lower half of the doors?

I would like Weathertech ones but I understand they won't fit my 2025 Rubicon X so plan to get a set of RokBlokz for the front. Should have bought them right after I bought the Jeep.

They did fit my 2026 Moab 392 which is the same as a Rubicon XR with the added wheel opening extension and factory rock rail.

Rokblokz are your friend. Wheeled all over Moab and never any problems

My issue with them is no matter what I do they rub the finish of the rock rails causing them to rust. On my second gladiator and got them again but made the hole a little bigger and they still rub.

FYI, I have the Active Safety Group on my Willys, which I think makes the rear bumper a little larger. I'm not sure if this applies to the Rubicon X or not.

My dealership had to order the WeatherTech mud flaps for the Rubicon in order for them to fit.

Rokblokz here on both ours. Definitely doesn't look as aggressive with them, but its a trade off im willing to make.

Trim levels and options can affect whether the mud flaps fit or not on both the front and the rear.

Aren't Rokblokz easy on and off?

I thought about getting a pair to carry around until I needed, pop on and go.

Around town, no need.
