My take on exterior mods is many of them make the Jeep look worse. However, the popular ones are popular not for aesthetics, but for utility!

Function over form! It makes sense.

Ironically, it makes Jeeps look cool. And that's the catch. It's only cool to add clunky stuff to your Jeep if it adds utility. If it doesn't, it's just a tacky add-on that accomplishes nothing.
