I've been waiting over a month for a new HV battery that I was initially led to believe would take only a couple of weeks. When it didn't arrive, Jeep customer care said they could expedite the part. But a couple of weeks later told me they couldn't expedite it and they don't know when the part will be available. Given the lack of information from Jeep, I though it would be helpful to hear from others who are waiting for a replacement HV battery, or who recently had one replaced. If this applied to you, could you say how long it took to get a new HV battery, or how long you have been waiting for one?

Thanks,
Bob

When I had my recall done (which it passed) the service rep told me their first battery took 5 weeks. Since it took multiple attempts to get my recall done (long story) when I picked up my Jeep the service rep told me their second battery had only taken 4 weeks.

Mine has been at the dealership since 1/25/26. Service advisor said it would take 7-10 business days to get the battery once Jeep/Stellantis/Star/Whoever approves the order. He made it seem like they needed to submit a bunch of diagnostics to them and do additional testing before they would even get that far.

I stopped in yesterday to get a few things out of it and advisor said he didn't have any new updates yet. It's been parked in the far back corner of their service lot and hasn't moved since 1/26/26.

Good luck, pretty sure you're aware of the 4XE recalls, stop sale etc....I'd trade that sucker in ASAP.

A very high percentage of 4xe's are out on leases. The buyout numbers are almost twice as much as the value. Doesn't make sense to trade them in. No one wants them. They are lemons. Your case is stronger the longer it sits at the dealership waiting.

When we order them even STAR is telling us it's going to be awhile. It takes 3-5 business days before STAR is able to place the order through Samsung. It then shows up when it shows up. Currently we're seeing 4-6 weeks on average before the pack is delivered.

We've got a guy whose been tasked with doing most of the actual replacements, and he's gotten the entire replacement process down to just over an hour.

You won't get it back until March at the earliest. Submitting the pack for order only takes about ten minutes, then it's out of our hands until it arrives

That’s actually encouraging when or if things settle down.

Mine failed on 1/2, towed i on 1/3 and confirmed HV Batt failure. I believe they ordered the replacement on 1/6. I just today got a call from my Stellantis Case Management rep stating that the battery had been delivered to my dealer. That's almost 6 weeks just for delivery of the battery.

Earlier, my service writer told me that they were waiting on 5 batteries at this small town dealership.

And, NOPE! my dealership confirms that the battery has not arrived and shows an ETA of the end of the month... I'll try to hold my breath for that.

Sorry to hear that. My battery was order 1/7, so it one of us gets one, maybe the other will follow along soon after.

7-10 business days didn't seem right to me. And there's not really a "new" battery right? They're just replacing the failed batteries with the exact same design?

The battery for my Wrangler was ordered, but the dealership hasn't received the approval to order one for the GC yet. It's not throwing any codes according to my advisor. But it doesn't hold a charge anymore since passing 68C. It loses 20% of the charge overnight and the range is about 1/3 of what it used to be. If you unplug after it gets to 100%, it's at <1% in less than 48 hours.

If it doesn't throw a code its VERY hard to get it replaced. Only ones with codes get ordered from my experience.

And yeah, same packs. The fire was due to poor build quality rather than a design issue

My JLU failed the recall procedure 12/23, and its been stuck there since. I just pinged JeepCares to see if they can help because the dealer just says "we don't know and the Star case we opened isn't getting a response." Now I'm worried the Odyssey 12V battery I installed two years ago won't recover from being dead flat through the winter. Sigh.

Before the 68C recall batteries would take 2-4 weeks to show up at the dealership (i'm a jeep tech) but now that soooo many batteries are failing with the 68C recall they are taking forever for them to show up. Currently we have multiple 4xe's waiting on batteries at the dealership with no ETA. I suspect that since the 68C recall is failing so many more batteries than the last recalls that the supplier is having a hard time keeping up with the demand.
