I will add one comment to this... A lot of the newer EVs have options to slow their charging to prolong their battery life. Fast charging is always hard on batteries.
I have a Autel Level 2 40A EVSE and can change the charge current on the fly through the app. Lately, I have been choosing to...
Like what @ormandj said, it all comes down to the wire that was installed from your breaker to your EVSE (Juice Box).
The common misconception is that a breaker is there to protect what's plugged in, IT'S NOT. The breakers are there to protect the wiring in the walls, to keep them from...
Your alignment doesn't just get knocked out. Something is bent. I'm betting that it's your drag link. The steering lines issue is another hint. I bet they aligned your steering wheel a full revolution out. The position sensors can't suddenly just be off after an alignment.
Take it back and have...
I had a thought on this...
Remember, the 4XE does NOT have a torque converter. This is what most transmissions use in slip mode to handle low speeds in 1st & 2nd gear.
Instead the 4XE has dual clutches on either side of the electric motor. I could imagine that at low speeds in HI range, that...
Actually, you don't have to. If you look at the screen when you push the start button (without a working fob) it directly tells you to push the end of the key fob to the start button.
1st, From what I know about how our Jeep computer systems work... this may or may not work as intended.... until your jeep goes in for updates. Then your original VIN configuration will be reapplied and your new module will go back the way your last one was.
2nd, yes you can disable the lockers...
I'll echo what everyone else has said.... Using electric only in the rocks is a bit ... odd. I've found that by using the crawl control (used to be hill descent control) does help some.
But really in all electric mode, it likes to be stalled by whatever rock is in front of you, then it...
You're welcome! I'm glad that it was that simple.
I went looking for the part number for the charge port, should we damage one beyond simple alignment issues. I found that the 2021 4xe has its parts published. I believe that it's integrated into the cable that comes from the IDCM...
I'll share my $.02 observation... Several public chargers that I've come across have been intentionally broken by a$$holes. Some are getting creative enough to shove stuff into the connectors. I believe that I've ran across one of these situations and upon inserting the connector on my 4xe, i...
Something on your can bus isn't talking... First go looking for blown fuses. I bet the ecm or something else major. If not, somehow you got water into a can bus connector, somewhere... problem is that it could be about anywhere. everything in the engine bay talks on that data network.
My vote from your symptoms would be a problem with the electric power brake booster.

Bring it in to the dealer.
This is one of the things that the driver needs to learn with the 4xe. Plan ahead for when you will need your gas engine.
I will start the engine when I know that I will want it running by either choosing esave mode then going back to hybrid, or by just nudging the shifter over to manual and...
I can't figure out how to report this to Jeep... but I found an obscure bug this last weekend. It crashed the entire drive system that required an key off / on sequence to fix. Below are the conditions...
Ignition On
4-LO
Transmission in Drive
Electric Mode
Hill Descent Mode Active
Now, Shift...
I don't know if this will help, but we have mapped a bunch of the canbus messages in our Jeeps.
https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/jeep-hacking-can-c-can-ihs-uds-reverse-engineering.82139/
If you look through the thread, a few people posted can message dumps from their Jeeps. I'd...
Well, the responce that I got from my service visit is that they want to replace the quick connect fittings. They are on order and I will have to bring it back once they arrive. They claim that the leak is small enough that it did not change the transmission fluid levels and is safe to drive...
