Here's my preferred cabin lighting while night driving:

For reference, because you can't see much below the front window, here's my interior cabin with the aftermarket footwell lighting illuminated, and the interior lights brightened up a little bit.

I found that the instrument cluster and the screen will go way brighter than I would ever want them to be and not as dim as I would like them to go.

I guess he is keeping the Texas registration sticker from multiple years still stuck to the windshield.

I dim them as much as I can. There is a detent before it slides all the way down where the cabin lights wont turn on with opening the door.

Same way when I am in my wifes Expedition, I turn that shit down as far as it will go too. Ford for some reason put in really strong lights. My wife always complains that she sucks at night time driving. I say its because of all the dash lights. She thinks I am stupid (well most of the time she thinks that), but I can drive at night and she can't.

From passenger side to driver side:
Threedom sticker, Calvary Off-road (a local overlanding group whose meets I attend occasionally), NTTA Texas toll pass, state registration sticker, and four different years of Texas OHV stickers (which you need if you want to off-road on state-funded land)

Not into interior vehicle lighting/ambient lighting at all. If it's there, I'll turn the brightness down as much as possible at night. If it's not, I'm not missing it

I don't mind ambient lighting in home theater environments and such, but the craze for lighting up vehicles inside in some makes is a bit much

Some makes like MB go over the top and make it feel like you're sitting in a nightclub
