Hey guys,

I’ve posted a poll a few days ago asking for opinions regarding the wheels I’m eyeing for my JLU Rubicon in String Gray.

I’ve found some KMC beadlocks at a discounted price. Only issue is the -38 offset. Anyone runs them and can you please post side pics? I want to see how far they poke out of the stock fenders. I’ll keep my 285/70/17 BFGs on the new wheels for now. TIA

I always use this site for offset visualization - https://tiresize.com/wheel-offset-calculator/

Stock Rubi wheels have an offset of +44mm. Going from +44 to -38 will push each wheel out 3.23 inches. That's a lot of poke.

If it helps any, I just went from stock wheels to Method MR703s with 0mm offset. Pushed my wheels out 1.73 inches. Went from no poke to this. Going from this to -38mm offset pushes them out another 1.5 inches.

Thanks. Yes i checked the offset calculator and it does poke out a lot. I want to see actual pictures of those who run them (if any) to really have an idea how it looks in person. Cheers.

I run -38 Dirty Life and used to run -38 KMC and yes they did stick out a lot. My avatar pic is the KMC with factory fenders and 37x12.5 tires, any other pics I have are other Jeeps that had after market fenders which waaaay increase the stick out. With factory fenders it wasn't too bad but there is def some sling going on.

Thanks. I had to zoom but the poke on wheels on your avatar doesn’t look bad. Hopefully I’ll see more examples from others here.

I'm a big fan of big poke especially when you are playing on the rocks. The only real downside is the sling when you have crappy weather.

Just saw the pics. Thanks. Mine pokes out like this at the moment as I’m using spacers. 1.50” or 1.75” i believe. You have me a clear idea how 0 offset would look. Thanks again.

Yeah. Some poke is good aesthetically imo. Just not too much. I also plan to install the fender flare extension s.

I think he means with a bigger poke, there will be more debris, mud, rocks etc. that will be thrown at the back of the jeep as the tires stick out more from the fenders.
Ohhh, That does make sense.

I'm currently running -6 backspacing on my Icon Rebound Pro wheels, but then I threw on an extra 2-in spacers from Rough Country.

It looks good though.. The slinging debris when off-roading kind of makes sense though.

Your rig still looks awesome though since you’re running 37s? Idk if mine will look like that on 33s with the same offset. I’ll go up to 35s in the future.
