It gets hot every summer. My prediction is that it gets cold this winter, so nobody be surprised.

We are looking at a high of 97-100 here in SW FL today and for a few days, with high humidity. Very unusual.

Only 97 in El Paso this afternoon. The single digit humidity helps, though.

Jeep Wrangler JL Hot in West Texas IMG_20230818_153037754

Yesterday, after work, did a little bit of shopping with the wife, took this on the way home!

I don't know if it's true, but my wife was telling me earlier that it's supposed to be 120°f in DFW this upcoming Friday?

I know enough about meteorology to know that there's no way in hell they have an accurate number this far in advance, but good guesses can still be made.

Have y'all heard anything?

I'm praying for yet another ice storm. At minimum a snowstorm would be nice. I need more reasons to do donuts in parking lots!
Hell no! I was using g a chainsaw for a week cleaning up after that, then my well froze, broke pipes and burned a seal up on my pump. Had to drive 75 miles to Kerrville to get another one.

Mid 20s and 3-4” snow is good. No ice, no temps in the teens. I really don’t like fixing busted pipes and cleaning up downed tree limbs. I had a brush pile that was 30’ long, 15’ wide and 6’ tall. Took me 3 days to burn it all off. Winters have been hell the last few years.

And I know how it is up north, but nothing is built for it down here. Also we have a lot of live oak trees that keep leaves through the winter. That means a lot of ice build up.

Says 110 in forecast, but it's been that for the last 3 days already. The one little break of two sub 100 days was absolutely amazing. Got all kinds of work done. Got below 70 at night too. Was crazy.

Yeah it's funny how much a difference 15° makes. We downstack pallets of beer outside, and then work the cases in the coolers of these c-stores. Even though it's hot as heck outside, we still have to carry a hoodie or a coat for when we go in those coolers. Last week was the first week in a long time I've been able to wear my hoodie the whole day without taking it off. After surviving 100 plus degrees every day, 94° was a breeze!
