Interestingly when I inquired about this under warranty, the dealer I was at said that it was still a "seep" and not a leak, so they didnt do anything. What a stupid response for laziness.

It’s just going to keep doing it. Putting any amount of extra labor in for that seal is a waste of time.

My 18 JLU Sport S is throwing codes for a VVL solenoid being stuck open and I am going to go ahead and replace all 4 solenoids as there is evidence of them all leaking... When ordering do I need 2 fronts and 2 rears or is each of the 4 solenoids a different part?
There are only 2 VVL solenoids.

Anyone replace just the seal themselves? I'm having the same leak and really don't want to waste a half day at the dealership for $12 seal that I can replace myself. 2021 JLUR 27K miles. Area down by the oil cooler is bone dry, only oil is on the valve cover.

I havent done it yet. I just havent had time yet. I feel like it should be super simple though. One bolt, one plug, in and out. But I dont know if anything else is involved.

Nice, let us know how it goes. It looks like yours isnt buried under those two lines like mine is. I guess they changed the design slightly with how they run those

From what I remember I removed the hose when installing UPR oil catch can. Think this is why it looks different? Notice no oil on the valve cover, this was back in May of 2022, LOL

LOL. That may be true, but I was mainly referencing the two metal lines that are running directly over mine making it harder to get to in the picture I put up a while back. Unless the angle of the picture is also just making it look different to me. I put a J&L catch can on mine too. mounted to the driver side fender area of the engine bay.

Just noticed my 2021 JL is leaking on this location. 12K miles.
Planning to drop off at dealer. I do have an oil catch can. Is there any chance it’s caused by the catch can?
thanks!
