2018 jeep rubicon 4dr jl. When setting temperature on 73degrees, heater blows hot for a while, then cools down to luke warm air. Air output only gets warm if I turn temperature setting up.

Automatic climate control tries to keep the cabin at the correct temp. It blows warm until the cabin is warm and then drops down to 73 to maintain.

Is this what’s happening? Or is it just blowing hot for a few seconds before blowing lukewarm?

No, it does this when the auto climate control is not on

Well, though it may seem obvious to most, 73 degrees is lukewarm.

working as intended.

Auto climate is always on. The fan may be turned down in a manual state (not auto), but the temp will still adjust to compensate. A thermostat set to 73 will use heat to warm the cabin if it is 30 degrees outside, but it will also use the AC to cool the cabin if it is 100. When you turn the vehicle on, on a cold day, it will blow hot air to warm the cabin up, and when it feels the cabin is at 73 degrees it will blend the hot/cool air to maintain 73

I don't understand why anyone like the temperature based climate controls. Give me red and blue dials please. I know if I want warm air, I don't know if I want it to be 78 degrees. It's not even an option to not have auto climate control on the Rubi's anymore
