HDC vs. SSC

I have a 2021 JLU Willys with the 8 speed auto trans and the selec-trac transfer case. I was looking up Hill Descent Control in the instruction manual. While it is described in there, I can't seem to find the button to activate HDC. Instead I have a button for Selec-Speed Control, which is also described in the manual.

Any idea what is going on here? Is SSC a superset to HDC? Or does selec trac transfer case imply you get SSC instead of HDC? Can SSC be used for hill descents as well?

SSC is better than HDC. It's basically the same thing but instead of working just downhill via brakes, it also works on flat and uphill terrain via brakes & accelerator.
