  1. Fender Flare lights

Oh really! I did not realize that the LED package won't have the white LEDs on the fender. Looks like the best way forward is to just check the bulbs, which I will do soon. What LED brands would you / forum members recommend? Thanks.
  2. Fender Flare lights

Does this look right to you? I just noticed the flare lights (both sides) are not white. I thought they used to be. Did the led/bulbs go bad? Mine is a 21 JLU Willys with the LED package.
  3. Aux battery issue, need second opinion

Yes, that was the one that led to the AUX battery.
  4. Aux battery issue, need second opinion

The real reason I bypassed the dying Aux battery is because I don't want to get in to main battery problems. I did not want the Aux weakening the main and putting me at risk of getting stranded. I also wanted to eliminate the delay in getting my Aux switches working. The reason I left the F42...
  5. Aux battery issue, need second opinion

Ok. Got the nut/connector out. Disconnected the Aux -ve. Taped it up well. Left the F42 in place. Tested the main battery at O'Reilly's. It failed. Replaced main battery with a H7/R94. Everything is looking fine now. At the end of it all, I am now driving around with the ESS alarm still on...
  6. Aux battery issue, need second opinion

Question. The flat L shaped terminal is the Aux negative. Correct? That needs to get isolated. Looks like I have to get the 10mm nut on the right out, and mount the left side terminal directly on top of the battery sensor and put the 10mm back on. Correct? BTW it is really hard to get the left...
  7. Aux battery issue, need second opinion

This is what I am wondering too! The Jeep community is often split with different opposite opinions on various matters. Here, when it comes to the pointlessness of the Aux battery, the community seems unified. Some of the pioneers of the disconnect method are now, apparently, driving this way...
  8. Aux battery issue, need second opinion

I don't fully understand this. Let's say the Aux battery is connected as intended and the Jeep is in the ESS stop mode. In this state, do all electronics systems, such as radio etc., get powered by the Aux battery? At the end of the ESS stop, when the break is released, does the Aux battery get...
  9. Aux battery issue, need second opinion

@AndySpill thanks for the detailed response. Couple of questions. I am quite willing to run without the Aux battery. Is it safe to say that ESS is the only function I lose if I delete the Aux battery from the circuit and follow your other instructions? Things like the Aux switches etc., do they...
  10. Aux battery issue, need second opinion

Having read several highly informative posts about AUX battery issues on this forum, I strongly suspect I too am victim of the same. I thought I will share my symptoms and seek second opinion. Do you concur, the following behavior most likely indicates a failing Aux battery? 1. 2021 JLU...
  11. Apex AutoLYNX quick sway bar disconnect solution

It's been a while since I got back to this thread. I am not quite sure what problems are being referred to here for stock length install of the Apex links. Will catch up and respond if I have something more to add. But for now, I can update that I had no issues installing these on my JLU...
  12. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Curious ... what bumper is that? Looks very OEM like. Are the end caps removable? Thanks.
  13. Apex AutoLYNX quick sway bar disconnect solution

You can even tape the top blue knob. Or even the whole link.
  14. Best tailgate table?

No rattling except while closing the tailgate.
  15. Best tailgate table?

The Rock Slide Engineering table seems to have the most effective surface area. It has two tiers, and a deeper shelf. I find it perfect for my needs. My most useful mod till date. The entire family agrees :)
  16. Soft top usage options

My kids tend to change their minds quite often. The weather tends to get a bit nippy too towards the end of the day. So I mostly ride in the Sunrider position. This way I can be most flexible. I have the JTops mesh top on all the time underneath my soft top.
  17. Soft top usage options

Sorry, but what is the safari position??
  18. Soft top usage options

So how do fellow soft top owners use their tops to go "incrementally" topless? - Sunrider position? - Sunrider with windows off? - Top down? - Top off but tracks and frame still remain? - Too off and tracks and frame removed as well? Going down these list of options seems to increase the...
  19. Talk me down!!

Get exactly what you like and want. You never know, this could be a long summer. Else there are more summers just around the corner! :)
  20. HDC vs. SSC

I have a 2021 JLU Willys with the 8 speed auto trans and the selec-trac transfer case. I was looking up Hill Descent Control in the instruction manual. While it is described in there, I can't seem to find the button to activate HDC. Instead I have a button for Selec-Speed Control, which is also...
