Nope. Rubicon going to 35’s didn’t really need it.

Im getting regeared to 5.13 on the 22nd. 2021 Sahara HA 4xe - just added 3.5 Clayton with 37s. Drove stock for a month and want to get the low end oomph back.

My diesel does an adequate job turning 37s with stock 3.73s. 4.10s would be better but not enough to justify the expense. 4.56 is more than I want with the diesel, though it wouldn't be too much.

I haven’t…I run heavy 35’s on 3.73 gears. I don’t see 8th gear often. I plan to run small 37’s that are 9 lbs lighter than my current tires.

I will regear eventually and I’m thinking 4:88’s since it’s my daily

Not seeing 8th is usually a symptom of mismatched settings.

My sentiments exactly. Lower gears would be more fun for those of us that have upgraded tires, but that diesel will pull any gear ratio. My first Wrangler, 20 years ago, had 3.21s - the EcoDiesel would have pulled them like nothing.

I have two Jeeps. I only changed gearing on one of them, and I voted yes.

2025 JLR with 2.0T engine. Stock 4.10 gearing was good with stock 33" tires but became inadequate after changing to 37" tires. The large tires with 4.10 gearing really seamed to increase turbo lag, which I didn't like. I regeared to 4.88 gears, and all is well again.

2022 JLUR 392 XR with 4.56 stock gearing. I did not feel a need to regear when changing from stock 35" tires to 37" tires. Two years later I changed to 40" tires, and I still don't feel a need to regear. The 392 makes so much torque that increasing tire size doesn't seem to really matter.
