At times I thought OPs time was much too valuable to be spending it here with lengthy responses. Since the OP has so much superior knowledge on how things with our JLs various systems work and clearly knows how to write long sections of text, I wonder if we can nominate them for an important corporate position at Jeep! Gifs are silly and should only be used when someone repeatedly declares themselves the winner of an argument that nobody else is involved in.

I read the first page and then skipped 2-8.

From my experience, I would absolutely expect a dealer to deny service on this modification.

I would also expect anyone who has done this mod to undo before visiting a dealer.

Also, for a few dollars in battery cable and a fuse with one leg dremeled off, you can pretty much hide this modification permanently as long as you aren't trying to get service on anything related to the batteries.

but every once in awhile I need to use a gif.
