Looking for options for solid half doors that are reasonable. I know you can "build" them with bestop and can get uppers.

Is there any other options that are solid and have uppers besides factory.. which I don't think you can straight buy from a dealer.

No savings over bestop element doors with door skins sadly.

Thanks though had not herd of this company.
I think it will be tough getting cheaper without some DIY solution. No one will beat the bestop uppers, so you'll need at least a tube door that can accept them to start with.

Going with thick steel will get stupid heavy, looks like JCR tried their best to make an aluminum set you can actually handle while keeping it as cheap as possible.

It's event season so watch for sales, Jeep Beach is going on.

I just priced out a set of the Bestop tube doors with skins and uppers…nearly $3k!!!
Even at that price tag when I saw a video of them, I just wasn't impressed with how they fit (I want to say JTR Spartacus has an install vid).

It's wild that the options available make the OEM Half Doors seem reasonable.

We just ended up settling for tube doors.

No kidding. I’d rather save up an extra bit and buy someone’s factory half doors. That price is a bit ridiculous for tube doors with skins. I can understand the uppers being the price they are but the skins are stupid. There should be a bundled deal if you’re doing the whole shebang. No wonder why they aren’t doing the Core doors for the JL…

I wish someone would figure out a rotomolded half door for the JL. I know it wouldn’t be as beefy as metal but it could be pretty damn strong and might be cheaper to produce.

Exactly. Upside if you can do it in stages, but still expensive.

If you could go to a jeep dealership and buy factory half doors with uppers for 4k I would do that.

I went the route of finding OEM half doors and uppers from a private seller. Long story short, someone bought a Jeep with the dual door option and didn't want the half doors. Best thing I've done to the JL. At this time, there is NOTHING on the market even remotely close to OEM except the price.

Check Craig’s List and EBay as well. I picked up a set of factory doors for $1800.00. Of course they came with base uppers which I have a premium top so I had to order a set of uppers. (Still back ordered), buy proximity handles and harness’s then have them painted. Good thing is I have a buddy that runs a paint /body shop so he only charged me $300 to paint the doors. I just finished putting them back together today and hopefully the uppers come next week. I plan on mounting them probably next week.

So as someone that bought a dual top XR off the lot and not seeing any OEM 1/2 doors close, I ordered the Bestop yesterday.

I already have tube doors but to travel and have the opportunity to do it 1/2 naked (1/2 doors and uppers off with freedom panels off) and still put them (uppers and freedom panels) the rain protection in the back, it was worth it to me. Hopefully they are of sufficient quality to use for trips.

and all options for this for a 4 door was $3200 including tax.

Sounds like you’re $2400 into 2 drs, so right on par with the amount 4 sell for.

True, however I was a lil upset I could not order factory doors with my ‘23 due to the color choice but after having half doors with my JK I have become accustomed to them in summer. Really I mostly go no doors but the halves are so much lighter to take on and off as needed.

How did you order the premium uppers? Through the dealer?
