Half Door Upper Maintenance and Care

I'm (finally) about to get a set of half doors and Premium Uppers (with a storage bag for the uppers).

My primary concern with the uppers is keeping the plastic windows in good condition, but I want to be sure the "fabric" of the window surrounds is cared for as well.

What products do you recommend for upkeep of the uppers?

What advice can you offer on Maintenance and Care of the windows (and the uppers in general) to ensure they last?

I just keep them safe in the bag, and only take them out if caught in the rain

That sounds real good...I don't have a soft top! Where would I find that info? All I am finding is "how to fix scratched up soft top windows".

Many companies make a fabric soft top cleaner, even bestop themselves. Basically clean it with that detergent and a soft brush, and rinse it down. Then when it's good and dry, protect it with 303.

For the winders. Clean it with Plexus. Or various other plastic cleaners available on the market. Don't seal those with 303, just leave those alone after cleaning.

Just an FYI: The 303 Fabric Guard had an issue that they are still reporting, and it's leaving a white residue that's tough to deal with. Probably best to stay away from that for a bit. I think it started last year, but the manufacturer still has the warning on their site.

This is what I use on my "vinyl" regular softop, not the Premium. I have been using P&S Bead Maker or Obsessed Garage drying aid. OG drying aid is BM without the color, which some says leaves a residue, and the citrus smell. I do like it better, the OG and that's what I've been using for a good year now. Once you do your normal wash and dry you can spray both of these products on all top material and windows. As well the whole exterior of the Jeep, it works on all surfaces. Which I do do also. It will leave a very hydrophobic seal. Easily cleans when dirty and haven't had any residue show up. It's not greasy and it keeps the top looking new. I've used the 303 in the past with good results on convertibles and past YJ Jeep top. It would "run" if it got wet say from rain. Otherwise it was better than any other product I've tried until my current drying aid from OG. Not sure about its current status as described above.

You have to option them when you custom order a JL/JT, otherwise they're not available afterwards. Although lately they haven't been an option anymore when trying to build a JL on the Jeep website.

I bought mine from an individual, who included them at the original purchase
