Gupton custom order timeline

Come up farther north and the chicken gets worse The thing I was most surprised by was "Hot" wasn't nearly as spicy as I thought it'd be. Perhaps my tolerance has been growing for years, just figured it was gonna be much hotter. I also wanted to try Prince's because I had heard from a food podcast that they created the original hot chicken sandwich but didn't have time.

It's good and Prince's is pretty good too, honestly, Nashville is getting a lot of the restaurant owners Charleston had, and there's a ton of good spots there. So.......picked up the JL from Gupton on Tuesday, absolutely the easiest car purchase you can imagine. A few notes:

-Arrived at 7:40 on direct flight, picked up as soon as I landed.
-First one there, went over paperwork briefly with Renee, quick, easy. Inspection of the JL, she put gas in it while I did financing.
-Financing I had the option of 2.9% @60 or 0% at 36 and lose 1% off the cost, I went with 2.9% for some flexibility.
-Pricing - exactly what was detailed
-Out in roughly a hour or so.

Basically what everyone is saying is absolutely true, they do what they say and it's painless. I would get there early, there were already 3 people behind me waiting once I got done. The one caveat that I discovered the whistling issue (probably from the windshield) about 50 miles down the road. Obviously, this it not a Gupton issue, but if you are someone who likes to check every little thing and go back to the dealer, maybe plan on sticking around Nashville for a day.

I called the Service dept. and they stated what I guessed is that it's a known issue and pretty easily correctable. I'll get it checked by the local dealer possibly or deal with it myself. I made it to Hattie B's and was on a pre-sunset hike in the Smokies when I found out my Grandma had a heart attack, so had to rush back to NC, so not a ton of hiking or off-roading in TN, but I did see a ton of Elk that morning.

Random, but does anyone know how much (if any) of the Jeep cost can you slap on a credit card at the dealership? My reasoning is I just got a new card and I have to spend $10k for the sign up bonus and I wanted to charge some of it on my card and then the rest with a check.

Yesterday I finally received the Chrysler loan paperwork in the mail

Random, but does anyone know how much (if any) of the Jeep cost can you slap on a credit card at the dealership? My reasoning is I just got a new card and I have to spend $10k for the sign up bonus and I wanted to charge some of it on my card and then the rest with a check.

I was in a somewhat similar position. Have you ordered/done the deposit yet?

This is from the Daniels offer: We DO NOT accept credit/debit cards for down payments (other than the initial $1000 deposit) so arrange to have a personal or cashier’s check for down payment purposes.

In the finance office they rolled the cost of my out of state taxes into the Chrysler 0% loan, and then 2 weeks later sent a check for the taxes with the title paperwork. When titling/registering my car in VA, I was able to pay the taxes to the DMV with my credit card.

This is from the Daniels offer: We DO NOT accept credit/debit cards for down payments (other than the initial $1000 deposit) so arrange to have a personal or cashier’s check for down payment purposes.

In the finance office they rolled the cost of my out of state taxes into the Chrysler 0% loan, and then 2 weeks later sent a check for the taxes with the title paperwork. When titling/registering my car in VA, I was able to pay the taxes to the DMV with my credit card.

I had pulled this from the Texas DMV site. However, depending on your tax assessor office, they might require more information. I had a family member buy a car out of state and was told that on top of everything listed in the screenshot above, they had to get the car weighed on a scale. I'm planning on doing the same that way I don't have to make many trips to the office.

Ordered my Jeep today from Gupton. Now I impatiently patiently wait. ? Upgrading to a Willy’s from a Sport S.

Not from Texas but I'll list the steps for anyone from VA, and also that look pretty similar to what's in that TX listing above. I did all this before I showed up:

* Get Jeep inspected in VA (includes emissions testing in Northern VA)
* Get insurance policy for Jeep (if not done already before pickup)
* Retrieve Gupton bills of sale, sales tax check, and TN title in the mail
* Deposit Gupton sales tax check in bank
* Go to DMV site, print title/registration application, and fill it out
* Take picture of odometer in DMV parking lot

Then it was just show up, wait 2 hours in line. Then hand stuff to the DMV, pay the VA sales tax/fees, and if you financed from Chrysler, make a copy of the registration with Chrysler as loan holder and put that in the provided letter for Gupton.

I definitely did not have to weigh anything on a scale. There was a spot for that on the application. I wondered if they could pull that from the VIN, but to be safe I just copied the weight number already on the TN title to the application. Though if Texas does make you weigh it take a picture! Curious what that looks like.
