EBC has come out with a specific brake for Jeeps and Light trucks, they are "Red Stuff" Vs the Yellow Stuff. These new brakes take the place of the Orange Stuff. These are brand new and I spent half a day trying to find RED. Dealers that have Orange in stock have to exhaust those before they are shipped the Red ones.

I only ordered the Fronts. My Jeep only has about 1000 mi on it and as 70-80% of braking happens on the Front no need to buy the rear set now.

Now to track down some Hi Perf Caliper Red Paint.

What's the composition? Sintered? Semi-sintered? Etc.

I'm taking the long view here as it concerns balancing performance with rotor life. More to the point, trying to find the balance in this somewhat contradictory ad copy:

"Low dust EBC RedStuff is a superb pad for fast street use and targets high HP imports, muscle cars and prestige European cars."
<and>
"Redstuff pads also reduce rotor wear so that rotors and pads last longer while delivering great brake performance."

I have been running EBC for years and it's ONE GREAT BRAKE. Never saw any excessive wear or brake dust.

EBC: "
EBC Redstuff Ceramic Low Dust
Low dust EBC RedStuff is a superb pad for fast street use and targets high HP imports, muscle cars and prestige European cars. EBC RedStuff ceramic pads reduce dust emitted by OEM pads by approx 80%. Redstuff pads also reduce rotor wear so that rotors and pads last longer while delivering great brake performance. For optimum lifetime in track use EBC still recommends drivers to upgrade to YellowStuff or even BlueStuff range but if fast street is what you need, EBC RedStuff is the pad to choose.

I'm probably a curmudgeon, but this tilts me to the Hawk LTS pads. I want brake pads that blend in, not looking like tomatoes. Unfortunate because the EBC seems like a good product.

What is the part number? Are they to fit on a dual piston caliper? I ordered a set of the green and they were too small. I'm not sure what calipers I have other than dual piston on a 2020 Sport. They are quite a bit bigger than the rear calipers.

LOL, Not sure you really see your pads very well with the wheels on.

Where in that description of red stuff does jeep or truck fit in? Looks like muscle cars, fast street performance, not what I'd call a jeep... maybe the 392

Their brake selector has a good comparison showing the benefits of their Red..

EBC New Extra Duty PLUS Light Truck, Jeep & SUV Brake Pads
  • These pads are a MUST to try, fantastic smooth as silk braking with massive in depth braking power – These pads just keep on and on and on delivering brake power
  • If you run oversize tires or lifted suspension this is a great product to use , increased friction over stock to compensate for changes in the vehicle setup. If you run a standard tire or suspension, no problem, just enjoy the extra stopping power and massive life these pads offer
  • Longest life of anything we have tested and a great choice for Trucks fitted with oversize tires, these pads re balance the brake effect due to the extra loads of oversize tires
  • More brake “grip” than stock and most low cost aftermarket pads at less cost than original parts
  • Noiseless material with slots chamfers and noise dampening shims for totally silent running after brake in period which is 200-500 miles
  • British made top quality product R90 approved for street use in Europe
  • Made with Nucap NRS hooks on back plates to totally eliminate the chance of pad debond
  • Backing plate steels feature NUCAP NRS system hook technology for 5 times the bond strength of conventional pads
  • Fade free brake material capable of a wide range of operational temperatures
  • Features red “brake in’ surface coating for instant safe braking after install
  • Brake in ™ coating scrubs and gently conditions the rotors during 50-100 miles after install and reveals the ultra powerful brake material beneath after a short period

Spray the back of them with some high heat flat black Rustoleum a day before you install them. Problem solved.
