FCA might want you to "back down", and not try to demand an update which might not be possible. You don't appear to be a software engineer, and boiling this down to "issue an update" is probably too layman a solution. That software could've been removed because it simply wasn't ready, and was rushed, incorrect, or caused major system problems or security risks. The thing that matters to you might not be a feasible reality.

I HIGHLY doubt a judge could "force an update".
The software has been working just fine in the GC for a couple years now.

The Lancia Ypsilon launch is keeping him too busy to care about Jeep's reputation?
Do you really think this is going to hurt Jeep's reputation? It's a stupid gimmick, it obviously had problems so they pulled it. They don't owe you or anyone else an explanation. Get over it.

A class action lawsuit just days into a brand new vehicle launch is probably the single worst thing you can do to your reputation as a car company.

LOL. Find an attorney willing to take that case. I'm guessing you're gonna have a bad time.

I find it funny that this thread title is "how-do-you-start-a-class-action-lawsuit" and the question was answered.

Nobody has actually taken the steps to do this though?

Why ask the question if you don't want to take the steps to perform the task?

Correct Nate, nobody yet mentioned that they might have been less pissed if FCA had announced plans to remedy this situation at the same time as they announced cancellation of this feature...so I thought I would....

yes....to quote you.... ."Right.......because nobody on this forum hasn’t been trying to beat that same damn idea into the OPs thick skull."

except I don't think the OPs being unreasonable...you're free to feel differently...
The OP has been repeatedly informed that he should either wait for a proper response to the issue from FCA or go hire an attorney. What does he do.... this BS

What the OP has successfully done was split the forum and judging by the responses from others besides myself, agitated a few. I could care what the window licking, crayon eater does.... just stopping from post whoring his stupid BS would make me happy. There are other threads this crap has spilled into and a few of us are tired of it.

Seriously Russ, I could care less.... but damn enough is enough. The guy has no clue what is actually going on and makes some really far reaching stretches trying to rationalize the logic as what’s going on. I don’t have the heart to tell him the CANBUS used in the Grand Cherokee rebuttal he just used above is based on older software and firmware and has ZERO in relation to the new Wrangler CANBUS. It’s these type comments that proves he’s not very informed and just grabbing at straws.

Very fair point SS, I only touched on it.

Not to be smug OP, but : http://lmgtfy.com/?q=law+firms+that+specialize+in+class+action+lawsuits

I do wish you luck pursuing things that matter to you.:) It's not my fight; I recognize it's yours.

Especially after you explain to them that you are not seeking cash, but would rather be paid in a software update:cwl::angry:

What kind of lawyer works for software updates:facepalm:

I get why folks are not happy. If I was not waiting on the JT to come out I would be in the same boat. FCA will fix this issue soon I bet.
