Does that Gladiator have 20" wheels? If so who knows what else he messed up.

I own two F150s, an F350 and the JL but I'd gladly trade my daily/beater F150 for a JT if they weren't so damn expensive.

Threads like this based on the linked photos don't scare me in the least. It's the internet, and even if it's true I don't see this being a wide spread issue.

I need to get back to my PANIC about the Corona Virus and panic about JT frames takes away from that - NOT GOOD!

WoW ! This has turned into an ugly little thread. For a second I thought I was on the other mean and nasty Wrangler forum.
From the article..."While it's all but impossible to tell from just two photos and no definite background info..." Fake news. Also, the other picts in the article show a Chevy Colorado with the same issue. See below, not a JT.

One of the comments from the article also gives a good explanation of what "might" have happened. "They went up a super steep hill and the Jeep crested before the trailer which allowed the all weight of the trailer to pull down on the trailer hitch that bent the frame using the Jeeps rear axle as the fulcrum point. It's not rocket science."

Y’all need to take this JT talk across the street to the JT forum. Lol I think it’s time for us JL guys to go crash that JT forum with our plethora of JL topics.

I thought the FB post had said they installed the lift without any bumpstops

Oh, and I, for one, have no issues with JT talk here haha

Two tiny trucks, with bent frames. Looks like it is time to beef up the frame, if you own a Gladiator, and decide to possibly go overlanding. . Or, if you tow, and go off road. All I'm saying is that this isnt normal, and I've never seen a full size truck do this, unless it is way overloaded.
I still say that gladiator would look and wheel better, with two doors, instead of four.

.

Two tiny trucks, with bent frames...
First, I want to first congratulate you on your success. Well done! :like:

Second the sample size in the article is far, far too small to draw the bold conclusion that the Gladiator frame is weak and has an issue: clearly the instance is far from the norm and as the article dictates, the Chevy truck also suffered the same problem.

A more valid conclusion can be that either the trailers were faulty or the more likely issue is OPERATOR error.

Anything and I do mean ANYTHING with the right amount of force and or pressure can and will bend, break, twist or contort.

Happy Jeepin!
