Why not rent or borrow a small trailer if you have a HT and tow package?

Dude, that’s huge. I didn’t expect that much packaging to go with it.

It's nice to know you don't have to remove the hardtop to remove the soft top from the cargo area. I believe this was necessary on the JK.

I guess it will make an interesting coffee table until I decide to install it.

Not sure how long you can keep the top bundled in the box before it starts to distort.

Thank you for the information and the picture (I heard the box was large but wow :)) . Is it a 1 or 2 person job to get it out of the back? Are any of the boxes very heavy?
could be done with 1. the soft top is the heaviest. boxes arent bad at all.

here are some pictures of what it looks like inside the box - couldn't find any instructions - any idea what the photos 2 & 3 are for? there is a rubber mat and some sort of grommets/wire connectors?

Rubber mat is for the cubby under the floor of the trunk. The grommet doodles are for if you hook something up to the AUX switches. Heat shrink tubes.

Two person, heaviest and most awkward when unloading is probably actual folded up soft. You could probably do it with one person but recommend two so you don’t mess it up. Other boxes in there are light

So when I picked up my Jeep it had the largest box I’ve ever seen in the back, I broke it down into smaller boxes that were inside.
My question is does anyone have instructions or a video on eventually installing the soft top?
Do some of the parts in the box get installed right away and stay on the Jeep? Was the dealer supposed to do that??
Great questions...

If I can’t pickup mine right away when it arrives I’m gonna ask him to install it. I’m assuming like In the past with the soft top down the hardtop can still fit on. Assuming that’s true i think it’s a little ridiculous they just throw it in a box in the trunk like that.

Has anybody that bought the dual top package actually installed the soft top yet? I saw where the owner’s manual discusses swapping tops, but does not cover the details on installing the hinge piece and other rails.

I think its actually better having it in a box...with the JK, you had to unbolt the hardtop to get the soft one out. Also, there is no way you could have both tops fully up at the same time...The only possible option would be to have the soft top connected, but folded down. That would kinda suck too though, you would really have limited access to the trunk area, due to the soft top being there. I think this packaging is an improvement to the JK dual top shipping method.

Although it does suck if you are looking to pick up from a long distance with your family.

Yea I’m only saying that cuz of I had it right now I’d be switching anyway as I’m hoping we’re done with the snow here. Starting to warm up and be nice regularly.

Don’t believe you can have both installed at the same time, per the manual they are to be used independently and the warranty will not cover damage resulting from having both installed. My bet is the dealer won’t install it as they would then be liable for any damage.
