Hello all. I purchased a certified 2021 Jeep Wrangler 2-door, my first Jeep, and upon looking things over in my garage I noticed that my engine bay fuse box had some plastic notched off, as if to accommodate cable access.
Upon taking off the cover and confirming the fuses present and sizing's, I noticed that the F02 "Starter" fuse (Pic A) did not have the 40A installed as the box cover referenced (Pic B). Instead, it had 2 wires coming out of that location (Pic C). I went online and found a video of someone working on the same year/model and took a screenshot (Pic D) of what their fuse box had. Which was a 40A fuse where I have these cables.
If anyone has any feedback as to the possible reasons behind this setup, please let me know.
Even though I'm not having any real issues, only the common ESS (Auto Stop/Start) not functioning/dash light issue, I appreciate any help with understanding why these wires have replaced the 40A fuse. Thanks.
