Functional Limb Risers

After going to the local OHVs a few times, my JLU is taking quite a beating from branches. I know most people with limb risers are doing it for cosmetic reasons, but I'm looking for some truly functional risers to get the branches up and over the hood/pillars/windshield. What's out there? I see a few kits out there that drill/rivet to the inner A pillar, but I will have a Maximus-3 roof rack going on in a few weeks and would highly prefer to tie in to that. Thoughts?

Super simple. You just need some 3/16 wire...well, I was going to suggest you make your own, but there are some easier to use kits, Smittybilt limb riser kit and others.

Yeah I've had my eye on the Hauk kit for a few days now. Do you use this kit?

I have no experience with the Hauk limb risers.

I used to run Offroad Elements' limb riser kit when I had my JK, but unfortunately, they're not making limb risers for the JK or JL platforms.

Yeah I saw those ones too. Was over on the JK forums this morning and tried to find the JL variant. Doesn't exist

You can choose any brand of Limb Risers you want, and you might be able to start there and make them work. I didn't like the heavy turnbuckles. I just wanted a sheathed wire, so that made it much more complex (and costly) for me to complete.

Have you had any issue with water leaks at the door seal where you pop riveted the bracket? This system looks like the old Steinjager kit I had and it would leak whenever it rained

Just wanted to thanks for posting this. I used all this info and built mine. Only difference is that I ordered the KC hilites light bar brackets for my top mount and I put pods on as well.
But the cables look great. Better than anything you can buy for a JL.

Just a heads up: those Stud Ends from Wicks come in a LH and RH thread. You want the RH thread.
