When googling for that JL number, all the pictures look like the older version, does it not? Unless those orange gaskets are not the ones I should be looking at. Apologies if I'm misunderstanding.
Praying mine lasts to near 100k so I can just do this swap for the revised edition while the intake manifold is off for the spark plugs. Ugh. What a mess.
I only needed 1.25" to clear the OEM wheels on a narrow axle. Was able to heat and mold the OEM inner fender as well. Just wanted to remind everyone you don't need 1.5" to clear.
I also charge DC too. I have a whole Redarc system too. Specifically, in wondering about this AC wattage issue though. Is there anything that can be done to get it to reliably put out 120W?
I have a Goal Zero Yeti 500x that I have wired under my floor, which is wired to charge from the AC port when the Jeep is running.
When I first put it in there, I used the 60W charger. All was well. Eventually I upgraded to the 120W charger to charge twice as fast, knowing the Jeep AC outlet...
Had to stop at step 16 today (driving it) because of this little gem that took me well over an hour to drill out and tap. Ugh.
Got the replacement hardware picked up and will finish this tomorrow morning. It was SO nice having a drain plug this time!
I will say though, the 3.6L sounds mean...
Doing my second round tomorrow and had a quick refresher question; does the fluid have to be between 86⁰ and 122⁰ when you're draining it? Not sure if there's any benefit to that, other than not having it be stone cold ambient (45⁰)?
Those are the pads I went with. My 70 mile drive home from where I installed them seemed to have no odd noises or brake issues.
I figure I'll give the $30 Crown Automotive clips a try just to see how they fit. These things can't be that critical.
Side note: these LTS pads are so nice...
My pads did not include those. If the lack of them won't cause me any issues, I'd prefer to just leave it as is because those things are annoying as hell lol.
I was changing my brake pads out today with 58k on the Jeep. 2 of the 8 pads that were removed had broken spring clips; the one that stays on the caliper itself.
I haven't been able to find much info about these on here.
I think the part number is 68159523AC.
Has anyone else replaced these...
