I’ve got a SteerSmarts steering stabilizer mounting setup. I think I want to raise the front track bar using the Teraflex bracket. As I look at how they each attach to the existing axle structure it seems that they are able to play nice together, even though it may require replacing some of the mounting bolts with slightly longer ones. Has anyone used these 2 components together? Are they easily compatible like I think, or are there issues that I’m not seeing?

You don’t want to modify where the track bar mounts to the axle without also raising the drag link the same amount or you will introduce bump steer. Flipping the drag link introduces clearance issues with the frame unless you have 5”+ of lift.

Thanks. I wasn’t aware of this. I don’t have or plan to have enough lift to necessitate flipping the drag link.

I was attempting to improve steering geometry. No actual real problems, just trying to improve it where I can. However the other response quoted above let’s me know it’s not what I need to do.

I'm with word302 and Roky on this one.

Sticking to axle side track bar relocation brackets, have you tried the rear one? After beefing up all 8 control arms, both track bars, and steering linkages to support the lift and larger tires, I became interested in the idea of raising the rear roll center. I ended up installing both an axle side relocation and frame side reinforcement brackets. I pulled out of the driveway and didn't even make it past a few houses on my block before feeling the difference. The rear end felt more planted and there was a noticeable reduction in tail wag after bumps and dips on the road. As that first drive continued, I started noticing that the more solid and planted feel of the rear had a domino effect on the steering. The micro corrections to hold a straight line became even smaller and less frequently needed.

Since I did both brackets at the same time, it's hard to tell how to split the credit. All I know is that it was an all around improvement with my Jeep.

I ended up installing both an axle side relocation and frame side reinforcement brackets.
Is this for the rear only?.... it seems you used a Synergy relocation bracket on the axle side in the rear... what did you use on the frame side? Thanks!

I already have the rear axle side bracket in the cart (Teraflex not Synergy). That’s something I decided to do a while back and just waited for a sale. Incidentally, @Northridge4x4 has a great sale going that ends today. I thought doing the same in the front would yield even more benefit but seems I’m wrong and it’s unnecessary with my 2.5” of lift. I can’t foresee ever going any higher than 3.5” in the future, so no drag link flip is in the cards. What frame side rear bracket do you have? I did install the SS front frame side reinforcement bracket but that doesn’t lower the bar, only strengthen the attachment.

How could it get things parallel? They are parallel stock. Adding this bracket takes them out of parallel.

You can absolutely get them parallel with a drag link flip, which also improves steering further. Works great on 3.5” of lift with 2” of bump stop up front. Our Jeep handles better than stock with all the upgrades in my opinion. It will use 100% of the available from the fox 2.0’s which have an 11.6” stroke IIRC. Better is better, even if it’s not necessary.

K, literally every quality lift manufacturer would disagree with you. One of these guys has a 2.5” lift. Again, I’m glad you like it. It’s not a great idea for most people.
