So, last week, I replaced the front uppers. All Rock Crawler adjustables.adjustables..
Today I finally got around to doing front lowers. I did the driver side first. Measured the old ones & matched it to the new arm. Placed it in & slid the bolts in just to hold it in place.
When I pulled the pass side lower, the axle moved forward a little. I pulled the new arm on the drive side & the axle shifted further forward.
Both lowers are now exactly 2.5" longer than stock.
Should I pull them and try to ratchet the exle inward to get the arms closer to the stock length?
Linking a picture of the adjustable length. Yes, it's blue thread lock just in case I need to pull these & adjust them back in.

Noob question here.. I did install a 2.5" lift a couple years ago. Does that explain the 2.5" forward movement?

You need to know what your caster is before you know how much to adjust. 2.5” different than stock sounds like a lot. Does RK provide a “starting measurement”? If so, you should stick with that measurement, check caster and adjust if needed.

You measured the driver side to match the old arm, then you pulled it out and extended it? And now you are wondering why it's longer? LOL am I reading this right? You should be able to shorten them and let your alignment shop made the adjustments.

The easy answer is go get an alignment done to make sure you caster is within spec. Yes, it may cost you a little but it sounds like you're headed down a rabbit hole. No disrespect.
And 2.5" is the lift after installation of the kit. Nothing to do with the control arms.

Yeah that’s way out of whack…. Set your uppers to 20-7/16” and lowers to 24-1/4”. Do one arm at a time, don’t take both sides off at the same time , it makes for a pain in the ass…..
