Just search for Citrus WMA

It's trail 14 or 15 as others have said.

Every few years it gets "leveled", but there's also some other off camber trails, mud holes, easy fire trails, etc.

It can be a nice place to explore for a day. Just keep an eye out for others including horseback riders and FL Trail hikers.

As fellow hiker trash myself, I can tell you that a drink and/or a friendly wave is MUCH appreciated if you find through hikers out there this time of year as it's miserable, but in a type 2 fun way. 😀

James, it’s also good to know what the rules are out there, and what areas/trails are off limits to vehicles. We don’t need assholes ruining it for the rest of us. I strongly implore folks to go to the WMA website to get the info before going.🙂

From https://app.myfwc.com/hgm/hgmsearch/wmad?brochureTitle=Citrus:

Public Access and Vehicles:
1. Open to public access year round.
2. Persons operating vehicles shall enter and exit only at a designated entrance.
3. Motor vehicles shall be operated only on roads shown on the brochure map, except for individuals who qualify for AMP or SUV permits. For more information visit the ADA for Hunters web page.
4. Parked vehicles may not obstruct a road, gate or firelane.
5. No motor vehicle shall be operated in areas designated as closed to vehicular traffic.
6. The use of all-terrain vehicles is prohibited.
7. Horses may be ridden only on open named or numbered roads, or designated horse trails.
8. A marked footpath called the Florida Trail traverses the area. This trail is open to hikers throughout the year.
9. Class 1 electric bicycles may be operated according to rules for traditional, non-motorized bicycles. All other electric bicycles may be operated only on named or numbered roads open to motorized vehicles. For more information visit MyFWC.com/ebike.

Citrus WMA is a part of Withlacoochee State Forest. Here is an off-road/4x4-specific pamphlet for the Forest: https://ccmedia.fdacs.gov/content/download/82296/file/FourWheelDriveKnowBeforeYouGo-092019.pdf

What @Wabujitsu said.

Leave the place better than you found it and help everyone keep places open and respected 😀
