Sorry for slow reply, haven't been on much. I am all stock, road manners are good....I would say better than my '13 Rubicon. Have a little darting tendency depending on the road. By that I mean it's rutted from the semi's in the slow lane, other than that this thing is perfect! My other Jeep did it also so I kind of expected that and don't pay no mind. Did not do an alignment or tire balance, I don't feel any driveline vibrations.
I have noticed my JL doesn't have the same road manners my 2014 JKUR had at all, but it's drivable. I have had minimally windy days in south TX that have caused me to white knuckle drive on the highway... which is super disappointing in a, "new and improved" vehicle. My tire pressure has been dropped and I've double checked everything in regard to that except for the alignment. There are days where it drives like a sports car and tracks true for an entire trip into town... and then there are days where I am in the slow lane trying to not get pulled over for swerving being it's so all over the place.

I called my salesperson to ask them about this droning noise. He went to talk to service and called me back. Not a single other report of it at his dealership, allegedly. He stated they told him it's likely due to the large off-road tires that come on the Rubicon... I explained to him my Tundra had identical tires (BFG TA/KO2) running on 20 inch rims and never ever made any kind of droning noise... but aside from that, if this was due to the tires on the Rubicon, I *know* more people would be reporting it to the dealerships. When it happens, it's super annoying unless you're blasting the radio.

I may take it in to ask if they can check the alignment and driveline... but I'm afraid they may make it worse. Blah.

Quick update - my JLUR now has a vibration starting around 45-50 miles per hour. It's more of a 'rumble' type of vibration. Then when I hit 60 miles per hour, I get the droning vibration like it's been doing since I bought it. The vibration goes away at 65 miles per hour.

@JeepCares - is this something you have seen? Should I have my tires checked or my alignment checked or something? I simply don't have time to sit this in the dealership right now, but the symptoms are worsening. If you know of a fix that has helped other Jeep customers, please let me know so I can do the needful.

Hi mortuar,

We're sorry to hear that you are experiencing concerns with your Jeep Wrangler. We do not have technical training, and so we recommend visiting your dealer to have this diagnosed. We understand it can be inconvenient to visit the dealer, however, once you set an appointment, I would be happy to create and escalate a case on your behalf. Feel free to send us a message once you have an appointment.

I have a JL Rubicon, upgraded tires and wheels from factory and the upgraded sound system. There are times that the floor mounted woofer will send vibrations through my floor and through the steering wheel. I don't notice it all of the time but you could be feeling that in yours also.

It's definitely not the stereo or subwoofer - this vibration happens with or without the stereo on. With the stereo on, it actually is harder to feel/hear. Without the stereo on it's super obvious.

@JeepCares I have the same issues, and it seems like this issue is common to JL Rubicons. Is there a fix so far?

I'm having that drone issue as well. Just got wheels balanced and rotated and it's the same maybe worse. Starts at about 65mph and at 70mph it's very bad. I'm running a 2" lift with 37/12.50/17 Cooper SST pros.
I'm at Led Swaab to see if my toe is out...might get tires reblanced too....

This may sound stupid but I did feel bit of droning in the floor board, but quickly realized it's the mid and the bass vibration from the speaker transferring to the floor. I turned my sound down and tweaked my settings some.

Also, I the only other bit of vibration I get is in the arm rest. I do not feel it anywhere else. I had it with the stock 33" tires and the same with my 37's. no complaint really.

Exact same thing happens in my JLUR. With certain music, even on low volume, some type of vibration is transferring to the floor and up into the accelerator pedal. I have the upgraded Alpine system and noticed that it happens with the mids and not really the bass.

Mine is from the speakers also. I realized that after a few weeks of owning it. Lots of resonance in the firewall and floor.

I know what I'm experiencing is not happening in the stereo. I can turn the stereo off completely, and it still happens. It's also limited to a specific range of MPH, it doesn't happen all the time or at any speed - it is most noticeable/alarming between 60mph and 65mph.

This is some kind of harmonic resonance happening from an unbalanced driveshaft or axle or tires - or maybe a combination of all of it. With all of the nonsense going on around the track bar brackets, I thought mine would possibly show up as a recall for that - but it didn't. I just need to find time to waste so I can take it in and let the dealership tell me I'm crazy over and over like they always do.
