I have the same vibration in my 2109 rubicon 4door, dealer replaced the drive shaft and the vibration was still there so what I did was rotate the shaft on the rear hub until the vibration was gone. It’s a balance phase between the shaft and the rear hub because that is balanced separate so if there off you’ll get bad vibes. Easy fix, just keep trying one hole rotation until it’s gone.
Mine has had this sound and vibe at 63-65 mph since I bought it. So, you unbolted the rear driveshaft at the rear pinion and rotated one hole and now it’s gone? Thanks

I actually started at a 180deg. Or start with the balance weights on the shaft opposite of the drilled holes on the hub. Let me know how it works

If this works i will buy you a beer!
This worked for me. if You find it better but not fixed, mark the shaft and go one more hole. Either direction. Sometimes you have to make it worse to find the right way to go. Good luck

I’ll give it a try tomorrow and report back.

Was just under my Jeep and noticed two small scratches where it looks like a weight should be on the transfer case end of the rear driveshaft. Going to have the dealership look at that before unbolting and rotating the driveshaft.

Just go to the rear axel and rotate the shaft, make sure it’s seated properly when done, The transfercase hub is not balanced so it won’t make a difference. it’s the other end at the rear end that’s balanced. If your not comfortable about doing that , have your dealer do it and start from there, don’t let them tell you that won’t make a difference, trust me

Did you use a torx to remove those funky looking bolts from the driveshaft yoke?

Seriously everyone, I only want what’s best for us, we paid big bucks for these jeeps and got the IDK from our dealers even though some may have the best intentions they don’t have the knowledge. So let’s figure this out ourselves

Yes T50 Torx will do the job, takes a wile using a ratchet

Just rotated it 180 degrees and I would say it’s 80% better, but I need to drive it a little bit more. I’ll try rotating another bolt hole tomorrow and see if it’s 100% solved. Thanks!

Were you able to rotate it a bit more? I haven't gotten to mine yet :(

No, I drove about 30 miles today and I think the noise/vibration is gone! I was a little skeptical and thought it might change the tone, but after today I think rotating it actually solved the problem! Thanks Mr G!

That's awesome! Do you mind taking a pic of what you're undoing/rotating? Are you torquing the bolts back down to a specific spec?

Remove all eight bolts (circled in red).
Use a flat head screwdriver to pry the driveshaft apart from the yoke.
With the rears wheels off the ground, rotate the yoke until yellow dot (1) and yellow dot (2) are 180 degrees from each other. The two yellow dots should be lined up from the factory.
Bolt everything back up and take it for a spin.
If that fixed your problem you'll want to take the bolts back out and apply some blue locktite.
