I found little searching the forum on flat towing a Jeep behind a RV. We ordered a 2023 Jeep Wrangler Sport 2 door to be flat towed behind our Renegade Vienna RV. We choose this specific model because of the weight requirements for our RV, which is a 4200 lbs weight limit towing. We are still waiting for delivery. We have no door sticker to look at. We did search Wrangler weight on the official website. The 4 door Jeep weighs as much as the 2 door Jeep. I doubt that is accurate.
I am excited to get back into a 2 door Jeep. I missed my 1st Jeep a 1995 Wrangler Sport. I never had any issues and I owned this one 20 years.

Even after you get it, the door sticker won't show the curb weight or unloaded weight.

It'll only show the max loaded weight or GVWR, which includes people and everything, and will certainly be over 4200.

The US News and World report spec configurator allows you to pick various configurations from the drop down, including 2 door configurations,

https://cars.usnews.com/cars-trucks/jeep/wrangler/2023/specs/wrangler-sport-s-2-door-4x4-428289

I'll save you a click, the

2 Door Sport S is 3948

The 2 Door Rubicon is 4222. (Heavier axles and other underbody components)

Towing weight is normally limited by hitch weight. Hitch weight is not a problem when flat towing. When you are flat towing, nothing at the back of your camper should be stressed except from push/pull forces. As long as you rig your tow for the toad brakes to work, you should be fine. The exception would generally be hillclimbing. Many of my friends unhook their toads to do the big passes out west. One partner drives the camper, the other drives the toad.

We got the towing equipment figured out and a local RV dealer will install the plate for us. They are backed up and I need to make appointment as soon as I got a definite pick up date for the Jeep. We ordered the Jeep Sport knowing it would be within weight limit limit towing.

Seems towing is not just about the towed vehicles weight alone. There is a gross combined weight rating (GCWR), tow vehicle including towed weight that is also to be of concidered. I have a Ford E250 camper conversion and can't flat tow my JLR. :surprised:
https://www.motortrend.com/how-to/gvwr-vs-gcwr/
How low is the GCWR on the E250 and/or how heavy is the conversion build? My ram 1500 has no problem with the 8,500lb load with the Jeep on a trailer and is still well under the GCWR.

That is a nice motorhome. Most of the time I see smaller cars towed behind the class A's. Not so much due to towing capacity, but more because of the power and brake limitations. You are not going to be able to add much in the way of mods to your Jeep before you get over the maximum towing capacity. Really depends on what you are planning on doing with the Jeep and how much you tow up in the mountains.

Just a note. While most of the time you can determine curb by subtracting payload from GWR, doesn't appear to be the case with Wrangler door stickers. All 2 doors have one payload, and all 4 doors have another, which obviously isn't accurate.

Best data I've found is Product Info Sheets from Stellantis, I don't see a 23, but here's the 22 one I normally look at. Even these appear to have errors, though.

Those are dry weights without any options or gas. I believe they are with soft top as well. My JLUR weighs in at nearly 6,000 pounds with skids, bumpers, and 37's.

13,000 Lbs and 7,700 lbs.
While the GCWR is not posted on my '03, newer E250's seem to be 13,000 GCWR and my van weighs 7,700. So 5,300 lbs. is the max. tow limit. My JLR "as built" is 5,000 and I tried flat-towing. It only took a slight grade to bring the speed down to 45 MPH from a safe 60/55MPH. The vans 5.4L's 255 hp/350 tq motor and 3.73 axle ratio is just not up to the task.
My previous RV tow rig (Ram3500HD/Tiger) had a 6.7 CTD and had no issues moving 16,500 lbs. @ 65 MPH running in O.D.
The 5.4L is unimpressive for sure. The 5.7L hemi moves the 8,500lbs like it's not there...if you ignore the fuel gauge free fall.
