Flat towing a 2021 JLU Willys weight limitations?

2021 WRANGLER UNLIMITED WILLYS
I am about to factory order a 2021 JLU Willys 2.0 Turbo pretty much fully loaded. My worry is that I see curb weight on these is around 4500 lbs but pretty sure that doesn't include all the added options. Since most motorhomes have a 5000 lb tow limit I am worried I will be bumping up against that. Anyone have a 2021 Willys 4-door hardtop 2.0 that is fully loaded with options and what is your curb weight?

Really depends on what you are towing it with. You can easily get above 5,000 with mods. If you are buying something that only tows 5,000, I assume you are getting a gasser. I have flat towed with a gasser before and the weight of any size vehicle really depleted the MPG and ability to maintain a decent speed up hills. Furthermore, if you don't get a brake buddy, you will really feel the stopping distance increased. I moved up to a diesel and can hardly tell the Jeep is back there on a trailer. Plus I get way better gas mileage and most diesels are rated to two 10-15k with the right hitch.

I’ve got a 27V (28.5 ft) Class B+ built on a F450 chassis with the V10/6 sp. I’m pulling a 20 JL Sport S and it pulls fine. My rig is rated to pull 7500 lbs. we use an RVI brake and wireless breakaway. Also run a Towmate light bar that mounts on the rear window and BlueOx tow bar. On a smaller/lighter chassis the tow limits are usually 5 k as you said. You’d be towing at close to max. Personally I’d rather have a margin of safety of a couple k but that’s me,

Yes but the price difference between a gas and diesel Class A is significant. Was hoping to not have to go that far with my first motorhome.

If you get a shorter light weight motorhome, you will probably be fine. If you get a 35' with slides, I would save up for a diesel.

Yes but the price difference between a gas and diesel Class A is significant. Was hoping to not have to go that far with my first motorhome.
Ours is a gasser. E450 hasn’t offered a diesel for several years (unfortunately). Most of the Class “C” rigs are on a Ford E 350/450 chassis. A 450 (unless it’s a huge coach) will pull a wrangler with ease. A 350 or one of the Sprinter chassis rigs will be at or close to max.
