fixed hand holds

Okay, one more thread for today. Do you have recommendations on fixed hand holds? For some reason, I dont really dig the soft straps or swinging ones. I totally get the reasoning and also understand I risk hitting my head on a fixed handhold on the roll bar. I dont fully know why, but I dont like the straps wrapped around and a dangling hand hold.

Thoughts?

There is a middle ground, fabric wrapped around the roll bar with a metal D ring to grab onto. They'll swing side to side but not front to back. I don't have a link handy but they're out there.

There may be others, but GCPA’s GP-Grip line is what I see the most around here.

I have seen those. I dig them a bit, but its still a cloth strapped flappy handle. And I understand this is my issue for sure.

When the strap is pulled tight, nothing flaps in the wind with the GCPA handles and the aluminum handles can be folded up and out of the way when not needed.

I don't think those work with a SOT; I've been limited so far to the screw-in soft straps for mine; there is no "above" access for securing any kind of strap.

Right, that lack of access is limited the choices for sure.
