Bought 6 foot scaffolding to hold my hard top for storage, thank to the OP on that thread.

Getting ready to install the OEM premium soft top.

Any tips/trick for this noobie?

Also, is there any issue with soft top windows blowing out at highway speed when just the front of the soft top is folded back and all the door windows are open?

Probably a dumb question, but I do not know how they are secured yet.

Locking the softtop latches at the top of your windshield is tough the first time. Letting it sit in the sun for a few hours let’s it stretch a little and makes it easier. After a few days, youll be able to do it with almost no effort.

A month later now and the wife and I got the top installed tonite, in safari mode.

I was impressed at the precision fit of the brackets and rails.

It was a bitch getting those front latches down.

It's like the bowels of hell here this week so the heat should help it stretch I suppose.

No idea. I have had the top down anytime I drive her. I don't drive her in when there's a chance rain (or snow in the winter.)

My guess is it would be hot, being black and all, and probably noisy.

How loud it's a soft top it's pretty loud If you never had one always had hard talk? Does it leak during the hard rain if it's raining hard or can you take it to the regular car wash and ride it drive it through cuz the one I go to is unlimited and it's not bad it doesn't turn my Jeep up or anything but I think a soft top it would wouldn't it or is it okay to take it through a car wash ??

it does better with sound than you might imagine. Only slightly worse than the hard top.

mine hasn’t leaked during storms (4 years of use)

I’ll take it through a touchless car wash or a wand wash. I wouldn’t put it through a brush-wash.
