After living in my basement for the past 3 years, I installed my soft top for the first time. Installation was pretty straight forward, but when I pulled the top forward, it was about 2" short to reach the front header. I could see the roller in the track and it still had room to move. I could not get it to move the last amount.

I removed the mounting bolts from the rear bracket, where it mounts to the roll bar, pulled the top forward and latched it into the header. With help, I pulled down on the rearmost bow of the top while I reinstalled the bolts.

I don't know what to do differently to get the top mechanism to move fully forward. Does it get easier with a little "break-in" ? Does the top stretch a little with use? My top is made from the premium material, and not the regular sail cloth.

I had a soft top on my LJ, and sometimes, I would have to tug a little harder too get it to fit, but never as hard as this. The LJ soft top frame was very different than my JLUR soft top frame. There's no rollers, track, or hydraulic cylinders.
