I picked this up shortly after it came out last winter. It’s, by far, the best pistol I’ve ever fired! I can reach out and hit center mass at short rifle distances. Sig P226 X5 Legion, 9mm, 20+1.

I'm not a collector I'm an enthusiast...

Yeah, true "collecting" is something like being a museum curator, at least to me.

Somewhere in the safe is a 70 Series Gold Cup, I bought new around 1977. It's getting to the point it's starting to appreciate a fair amount. I also found a Kart 1911 .22 conversion from the 70s-80s, which is a somewhat collectible item with old bullseye shooters. I always wanted one of these conversions, since way back in the 80s. Found the one below a few years back. Still haven't even shot it. Maybe I am becoming a "collector". Shown on my Gold Cup frame.

While I have some old guns that are somewhat "collectible", I hunted them extensively. These two Ithaca NID side by sides in .410 are pretty rare. (2 middle pix) What makes them even more rare are that they both have longer 28" barrels in lieu of the more commonly found 26" barrels in this model. They also have ejectors instead of extractors, found more commonly in this model.

The bottom gun is one I paid too much for and was a quite worn on the bluing and stock finish when I got it. It's a high quality Italian Ferlib (now defunct) make from the 70s, another .410, 28" barrels. A bit of a light wand to shoot at around 5lbs 4oz. I've hunted wild birds all over the west with it, from quail to pheasant. I spent years on researching and practicing technique and days refinishing those particular barrels in a traditional rust blue method to produce the correct luster.

Just stumbled across this thread. Anyone out there able to shed some light on this piece? It just showed up one day and I know absolutely nothing about it.

I prefer the case hardened too.
My brother won the .45LC Brass Bigboy at a Pheasants Forever raffle and didn't want it so I offered him $500 for it.
It's pretty and shoots damn good but is a bit shiny for my taste...
