Well, a new steering stabilizer (Fox) fixed mine. But don't confuse steering shimmy with death wobble. Those are two different animals. Most who say they've experienced death wobble actually have only experienced a steering shimmy. Death wobble is a MUCH more serious and scary thing.

its not a single problem.

Your Fiat will have newer trackbar, draglink and steering box than older ones, so it should help. But its still Fiat quality, so loose bolts, bad alignments, all come factory installed.

Your chances of issues will be less basically, but always drive a fiat before buying.

Steering stabilizer is not a good fix for the fiat tuning fork steering with overly soft bushings that wobbles, wanders, death shiimys, death wobbles. Yes, the lawsuit should list the entire range of issues, but its likely included in the details.

I am in same boat with a Teraflex SS, that "resolved all shimmy". However, I got on a crazy windy bridge and the mushy bushings was terrifying.

I am willling to bet a a full set of aftermarket tirerod/trackbar/drag link resolves it, but man stock wrangler should not be on the hook to get a properly strong steering setup.

The steering and tracking feels better than ever now.

Awesome, the falcon stopped all my symptoms as well (other than windy bridges), but I likely have the other 2 in my future. As I am stock, would be nice if Fiat would stand behind their products and pony up.

As it stands how they specifically are not updating Trackbar for shimmy in the TSB. Under normal driving and even horrible roads its pretty good, but you get really strong gusty winds (going over bay, wind ripping off pacific hitting jeep at angles with high gusts), its its crap. I have had solid axles kinda jump a foot or 2 sideways in winds, this ends up going like a s pattern down the road... I probably look like a drunk to someone behind me

Gotcha, so I ordered a 2020, and I expect it here in the next 1-60 weeks.... so is there something I should do in particular on my test drive that you recommend to see if it has these issues or is it something that I will have to figure out over time?

Be sure to drive it on the freeway for at least 15 minutes before you sign any paperwork and accept ownership of it. And make sure the tire pressure matches the door jam so it is a fair test drive. Most of the time the dealer isn't lowering the tire pressure when it arrives from the factory. Also, most of the steering and suspension part numbers for the 2018 JL says "2018-2020".
