Boom.

Unless you drive the Jeep through water deep enough to drown in, I see no advantage. Other than looks, it really is not a thing, sorry. You can basically drive the stock Jl through water up to your waist, unless of course you start creating a bow wake. Driving through water that deep, pretty much turns it into a damaged vehicle IMO.
You also need to put extendres on all the underneath vents for the differentials and whatnot. Also address the electrical inside and outside the vehicle. I’ve found that electrical tape, then duct tape about 4 or more inches past any plug, and then spray bedliner over the tape works really well. The bedliner can be opened with a pick on the tape well enough that you can peel it back and get to the electrical connectors if you do encounter any issues down the road. Filling up the rear cargo area with sandbags for added weight over the rear also helps keeps you planted and going strait if you create that boat wake.

Unrelated,
But if you are going with a 2026 Willys I do think you would like this mod. Apex AutoLynx sway bar discos.

I put them on our 2024 and they are really decent. Our usage has been limited to this point, however the little we've done so far has shown that they are worth it. Obviously there are less expensive options. These are very easy to deal with.

I met a guy that had a prestigious TJ. He said he would never take it off road. I said, then why did you install a winch, just for looks. He said, yes. He took an old non working winch, gutted it, shined it all up and mounted it on his jeep just for looks.

To each their own.
Funny thing is, we have people calling and emailing trying to get one!:LOL::LOL:
April 1, 2022– what can you say ?
They are out here.

You have to cut the hood for the current Mopar snorkel. there are uses in dusty environments too besides just submarining. So we added the Rugged Ridge one to our shop rubicon XR

Thank you for actually providing a real response! I am shying away from the rugged ridge one cause of the way it routes over the battery. I plan on adding the genesis dual battery setup and I don’t want to limit my access to the power ports or have to remove the snorkel every time we do battery maintenance.

@AnUnseenGod You have full access to the terminals and partial access to the battery. The harder thing is the fuse box, it's not going to open with it in place.

When I need to get in those spots, what I do is undo the front 10mm into the hood and then 4 torx up by the snorkel part, which is like 2 mins or less with a power driver and super simple.

Then the whole thing is somewhat flexible and you can lift or move it probably 6-8 or so inches. I'd rather un bolt those few very accessible pieces and move it around vs cutting the hood. I feel like it is a cleaner look too vs the big mopar one.

I also body color painted the black surround that attaches to the Jeep
