Hey everyone one I just wanted to offer some incite to the news that plants for all of Chrysler, Ford and Chevy are shutting down. As of right now anyone that has an order that hasn't been completed and shipped yet should expect delays. I have a lot of factory orders placed and it looks like they are going to be coming to a standstill.
For anyone that was considering ordering a vehicle as of right now I can still place orders. It looks like orders can be placed they just obviously won't start production. The order will be Queued and as soon as things are up and running again they will get to work on building them. So for anyone that is interested in an order you can still reach out to me and place your order. I just can't say how long it will take to get.

I'm planning on ordering a 2021 Diesel when the order banks open, but I'll be very hesitant unless things are way more under control. I'd be nervous about distracted assembly line workers.

Thanks for the update. I just heard on CNBC that FCA is shutting down production starting after the second shift tonight (3/18). My ordered Jeep is built and awaiting shipping. Do you have any insight on if they would still deliver those Jeeps that are already built?

It depends on what stage of "Already built" it is. It could be built but still be awaiting the body vendor. If it is any J status, such as JB or JS it would be built but not completely done and would still likely not get finished. Obviously I do not work at the factories I'm at a dealership and every vehicle is different. Your dealership should be able to look it up, find out what status it is in and judge from there. I would guess to say any vehicle no in some sort of KZ...status by tomorrow isn't going out.

Thank you for being on these boards. I own a Jeep JL and don’t need much of the information you post about the buying process. That said, what I can say is “thank you” for helping folks on here better understand various bits and pieces of the ordering process (including this shutdown) for the Jeeps that they are trying to buy.

I’m not an “order it” kinda guy.... I normally “buy off the lot”. But if I was gonna order, I would certainly consider doing it through you. Thanks.

Thanks for that. It is my pleasure. People get more passionate about Wrangler purchases then any other vehicle. Their is an awesome community around this vehicle and this forum is evidence of that. I'm just glad I can help and be a part of it all.

I second this! If I still lived in the PNW I would have definitely ordered from you. I used to be stationed on Whidbey Island and loved every minute of it. I really miss the great salmon fishing!

Sounds like you have a great opportunity to come out and visit it again and buy a Jeep while you are here, haha. I order and sell Jeeps to people all over the country, just did orders for Montana and Texas the other day. I try to make it easy for people that are a distance away.

Is there a point when someone can cancel an order if after a certain amount of time production still has not begun?

Once an order has been received by the factory it cannot be canceled. At least as far as I know. Now depending on your dealership they may allow you to back out of it but every dealership and every state has different rules about these sorts of things.
