I just ordered a 2024 Anvil 3.6 with the manual transmission yesterday. One positive about ordering now is that you can get the colour you want and they are offering nice discounts that will likely disappear once the 2025 rolls around. I tried to buy mine in Sarge Green but they are no longer offering it plus I saved 7500 off msrp on a special Order if price is of significance.
What's the expected waiting time for manuals right now?

Agree or disagree; some may say the same about both the 2.0L T4 and the 3.6L penta 🤣

I think there are plenty of 3.0L EcoDiesel owners who love 'em and haven't had tons of problems with them. IMO it was dropped because it no longer made economical/business sense to continue manufacturing them.

🤷‍♀️ who knows though.
Another fair point. I

@remington109, you'd better decide quickly. Apparently the 2024 order books will be closed June 15th. https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/fo...rangler-orders-mark-dodge.128973/post-2738880
Ahhhhh. Thanks for the head's up. Ironically, Mark Dodge is who I've been dealing with and where I'll eventually place an order. The lack of 2.0 is the only thing holding me up...I know the 3.6 is a fine motor, and arguably the safer option from a maint/reliability perspective. If the '24 order window closes next week, how far behind are the '25's?

If you really want the 2.0 , and have the ability to, I would wait. The ordering process is not for the faint of heart. You could be incredibly lucky and get your vehicle in a reasonable time period or incredibly unlucky and it take 6-8 months. At the end of the day you’re going through the process so you don’t have to compromise, and hopefully score a great deal off @Ratbert list. The only certainty is prices will continue to increase, and Jeep will keeping adding and removing things to piss the people on this forum off!! Good luck in your search.
Thanks for the advice. I don't absolutely have to have one now, but I will be reliant on incentives to justify a purchase. Ordering a '24 I can get about $13.5k off MSRP. I'm guessing it'll be this time next year before incentives roll around and I can score a deal like that.

If I could I would wait for the MY25. Then again I like the 3.6. I waited for MY24 because I could order early and know with some certainty all the options I wanted would be available. It still took 6 months for delivery.

All discussion about what options will be available and when are strictly speculation.

In my gut I truly don’t believe they will introduce major new engines at this point in the JL model after the MY24 refresh.

Take all this with a grain of salt because I have no real info to support my opinion.

Out of the 4 jeeps I have owned, the first one I bought was an 82 CJt bought used off a dealer lot. The second one I decided I wanted a new, 1 96 Wrangler and very specific build so I have it built for me. #3 I know what I wanted but was able to find one at a local dealer with the color I wanted Yellow everything else was exactly what I wanted. After that one was totaled by a distracted driver, I went to the Jeep Dealer Lou Fuze in O'Fallon MO. Told my story of everything I wanted to the sales person, my initial reaction that I was waiting for was a lot of laughter on his part and the disappointment on mine....Shockingly everything I said I wanted he said no problem and wrote up the order, placed it and I got everything I wanted. I guess I just lucked out for the timing , the 23 were just starting being ordered, there were several limited paint colors one of which I wanted, Manual trans, manual locks, manual windows. The long and shot of it all of the jeeps were/are great! How ever there is nothing like havering a jeep custom made for you at the factory and a window sticker that has your name on that says it is built for you. So buying one jeep used, buying one jeep new off the lot, and ordering 2 custom from the factory...HANDS DOWN THE WINNER IS CUSTOM ORDER FROM THE FACTORY!!!

I’m not sure how long I am going to need to wait. The order is not scheduled at the moment. I am wondering if it’s getting late in the year to order one, almost expecting them to come back and say they can’t build it. There are no manuals on dealer lots

Yea, but it makes sense. I just don't see much changing, especially powerplant wise. Hopefully I can find a deal when the '25's roll around.
