Just finished installing my Ace Expedition stubby bumper and Smittybuilt X20 10k winch today and first of all I am in love with this look. However, theres always room for improvement and would love to throw on a Factor 55 hawse fairlead and either a flatlink or flatlink E. Which link would you all recommend and does anyone know of some discount codes.

Northridge4x4 is currently offering 10% off with code ARMAGEDDON. I just bought a Factor55 Flat Splicer and Fast FID from them today. The total for both items came out less than the price of a regular Flatlink. I figured it would be a good idea to have the Fast FID line splicer in my recovery kit anyway, just in case I ever snap a line.

Is your Flat link E black? How did you manage that? As per the Factor 55 site it's not available in black. I'd like to get a black E.

Yes it is black, but It's actually the Flat Splicer model, not the Flat E. The Flat Splicer doesn't require the metal hoop on the end of the winch line, you just wrap the line inside the hook and splice directly onto the line using a Fast Fid or other line splicing tool. The Flat Splicer hook is also like $40 cheaper than the regular Flatlink and $60 less than the Flatlink E because the hook doesn't need the titanium pin.

Here's is what the back side looks like:

In the pic you can see how the winch line loops around the inside the hook and takes the place of the metal hoop.
