Trouble attaching Factor 55 Ultrahook

Bought a Factor 55 Ultrahook for my wife for her birthday. We went to install it on her Jeep ('19 JLR), which has a Warn VR10-S winch and we can't fit the Ultrahook over the winch cable eye - it's just too wide (thick) for the space. It will attach at a 90-degree angle, but that's no good for actually winching. Anyone seen this?

Do you have a measurement of how far off it is?

What's the width of the clevis?

What's the width of the Ultrahook opening?

Exactly... I was going to suggest hammering it, but didn't know how far it would have to go; wanted measurements before I suggested it.
