Not an F150, but a full size Sierra (Crew Cab, 6'6" bed).
I've had trucks for many years, mostly because I needed them for horses etc, when that need changed I dumped it pretty quick.
There are two distinct changes that you'll either learn to live with or you wont.
1) Available power, I had the L86 direct injection 6.2L in a 1500 series truck. It was great empty. It was great under load. It was great towing. The JLUR is not terrible, but if you were comparing the two side by side it's not even the same planet, so know that you're giving that up. With that said it has plenty of passing power and i've never felt I was in an unsafe position because I couldn't accelerate.
2) The bed. The glaring standout difference lol. Now if you're coming from a bologna truck with a 5'X"bed then I don't think you'll notice as much, because really they're hardly used.. A 97% decoration, if you will. For me this has been a trip in just figuring it out. We can pack out with our dog for a full week of camping with a hitch rack. However, hauling lumber etc is different.. I solved this by buying a 4x8 utility trailer that we're current working on to make a hybrid utility/base camp trailer for overall use.
For bike transpo, where they fit upright in my old bed and gate closed? I now have a Kuat Pivot and a Sherpa for our two bikes. EZPZ.
Bonus!
Interior noise. My truck was quiet. Super quiet. The Jeep is not. No other way to say that.

I have an 08 extended cab F150, it was a decision to trade in the truck or the small fun 6spd golf tdi. ultimately I couldn't give up the truck bed for when we need it and the fun efficient car got traded in.

Could we have gotten a utility trailer instead of the truck, yes, but a lot of when I use the truck bed, a trailer would suck in those locations/situations. plus towing capacity is almost 3 times what the 23 JLU is. The new 24 JLU has a towing cap of 5klbs which is pretty good.

NOW if I didn't need my f150 for big truck stuff, I'd have zero regrets replacing it with a jeep, and to be honest, now that we have one jeep, I've thought about replacing the f150 with a 2dr JL, or even a JT instead. That probably won't happen though, and I'll just drive the f150 into the ground.

Also the kid's two car seats also fit in the jeep way better than my extended cab rear seats.

If it tells you anything, if I'm not driving to work, or using the truck for big truck stuff, I'm driving the jeep.

I own both. F150 is my work truck and Jeep is my everything else. Really depends on who you are I suppose, but I reach for the Jeep to do truck stuff a lot just because it's more fun. The F150 hauls ladders and material a lot better though

I had a T1 Silverado. I rarely used the truck bed and it was just kind of a boat, and I found myself taking my JK everywhere instead. The interior room was nice. I liked the V8 but the rest of it was just so floaty and slouchy that i never really "enjoyed" driving it. Instead of letting it sit (just a few thousand miles logged in 2+ years), I decided to let it go when I bought my JL, also selling my old JK in the process. So now I'm just down to the JL (4-door). Time will tell but I feel like I made the right decision.

I went from a 2019 F-150 FX-4, supercrew, long box, tuned 3.5ecoboost, ran 13 flat on 1/4 mile to my current 2022 JLUR (4 door rubicon, 3.6L v6 with manual 6 speed).
I have pros and cons from going to a truck to the JL

Pros
- Looks nicer, you get the "luxury" look
- The JL feels more engaging to drive than the F-150
- Much more fun off-road, better capability
- Tighter turning radius, more fun to drive around in-town
- Seats are better in the JL (for me anyways, stock for stock, I had to modify the lumbar support in my F150 seat)

Cons
- Worse average gas mileage (F-150 got around 23 MPG, my JLUR gets around 19 MPG)
- JL is not as nice on longer trips, although still comfortable, no complaints from the wife either
- Obviously no rear box.
- Towing capacity is way down (3500 pounds vs 11,300)
- Wind noise is considerable in the Jeep
- You get lots of rattles and creaks with the JL, never had those in my F-150
- Less room, especially if you are a bigger/taller guy (i'm 6ft and 245lbs, still fit ok)

At the end of the day though, I still prefer having the Jeep.

This, and a jeep will turn inside the bed of the pickup. You can park easily.

I can provide the opposite perspective.

I’ve owned Wranglers for the past 15 years. A few years ago my local GMC dealer had a batch of 20 Sierras it wanted to clear off his lot to make room for the new trucks. They were all 4-door 4x4 in mid-level SLT trim, with the standard 5.3L V8.

Coming from Jeep Wranglers, these were my reactions:

Pros -
  1. Gobs of interior space. The interior was truly cavernous for six people in total comfort; front and rear
  2. Hushed freeway driving. You simply didn’t hear or feel a thing on the freeway, even at 80 MPH. The ride was buttery smooth
  3. Plenty of power. The 5.3L didn’t feel like a rocket, but it was more than adequate and very smooth
  4. Acceptable fuel economy. The 5.3L V8 with automatic transmission was rated at 15/24; slightly better than a stock Wrangler V6
  5. Outstanding value for money. The SLT came standard with leather seats, power seats with memory, V8 power, navigation, power sunroof, power rear slider, 4x4 with full-time transfer case, 20-inch wheels, etc., etc. All this for LESS than the price of a well equipped Wrangler
Cons -
  1. While the truck went with aplomb in a straight line, it didn’t like to turn. It reminded me of those land yachts GM used to build in the 1970s
  2. A bitch to park, back out, and drive around town. While Wrangler is no sports car, it feels nimble on its feet, especially around tight spaces
  3. Lack of a unique feel. As refined and smooth as the driving experience was, there was nothing truly unique about it. Wrangler rides and drives unlike anything else on road, and you are reminded of it every time you get in the Jeep
If you reverse the pros and cons above, you can probably get a good overall impression of what is like to go from a full-size pickup to a Jeep Wrangler.

Good luck in your search!

Both.
The truck is necessary to tow the Jeep home when the electricals die.

Not a F150 But a fully loaded ram quad cab. When I bought my Jeep the wife asked what I was going to do when I needed to haul stuff. I told her just wait a few weeks. I bought a 5x10 trailer. Sad thing is family and friends have used trailer more than me. It is a little strange hooking up trailer to go to Home Depot for 1 sheet of ply wood. Did that last weekend.

I have a 19 F150 and the JL.

It really depends what you use it for. So you’ll need to consider your priorities and base it on that. They’re not really competing products, so it should be pretty apparent what the right choice is based on your needs.

If I needed to pare down to one, at this point in my life, I’d have to choose the F150, as it has more utility for me. Much more cabin room for the kids and dog, and of course, 10x more cargo room, as well as towing ability.

Fortunately, I am adhering to the ultimate correct answer to anything in life:
When in doubt, get both.

Had Raptor before. leaking transfer case, leaking front axle, replaced infotainment, transmission slipping, shifting from 10th to 1 st and lockup wheel on freeway..all under 25k miles....dealer kicking balls saying all normal...sold it more than i paid for...JLs on the other hand, clutch recall taking over 2.5 month, 392 MP3022 transfer case constantly giving error codes and acting up......

lucky I have other reliable vehicle as daily driver.
