Jeep has made it infinitely hard to get the SWG. So far the door is out, the kick plate is out, i have by feel disconnected a plug that is definitely not the SWG module.

I need smaller hands and a smaller torso.

I set a mirror on the floor of the Jeep and a light shining up toward the connectors. Still a monumental pain the the ass with blood letting and profanity. Not to be insulting but you are clear on the location but just struggling?

Just ignore the people with ET fingers that are about to post they did it in under two seconds. Take a break and come back to it. Or throw shit if that’s a better stress reliever.

No insult taken, I do a lot of dumb stuff. There is a stupid vent thing there in 26 models. But as it turns out, there is a small gap to access the module without removing the vent (too late).

anywho, the wires are out, now getting the Z automotive harness up there is no easy task.
Using my front facing camera and a light which now has blinded me several times

This is the reason I went with the ECRI and never plugged the thing back in. I swear even if you remove the driver seat you would need to be a professional contortist to unplug them.

I was just about to reply that it'll feel like vindication when you finally get it done and never have to do it again.

Now just don't get roped into helping a friend do it. #askmehowiknow

I left a lot of blood unplugging the module. I wear XXL gloves and had more trouble getting my hand back out through the sharp restriction. If I wasn’t an experienced cave diver used to tight places, I probably would have panicked. It several attempts rotating my hand to find the optimal angle to pull out.

The only effective way is to remove the panel below the steering wheel. The SGW is attached to the back of the speaker box near the driver's left knee.

I think it depends on options and model year. I've unplugged both my 21JLURD and 22JTRD with little to no problem. Just removed the panel below the steering wheel to see a little better.
I have seen where others posts pictures and they seem to have more crap in the way.
We have most options on both Jeeps. But maybe it's the smart cruise control that adds stuff in the way, not sure.
