So I’m about to pull the trigger on a taser mini for the 24 Rubicon X I’m seeing all these post on how much harder it is to get a taser into the module on the 24th so our cable extensions or whatever the hell they’re called I don’t know the name of them really does it make it easier?

And on another thought, the main reason I’m buying the taser is to shut off the warning lights when I go off road and lower my tires and because I think I wanna run a little less air in the tires on the roads .
So as a sidenote, what tire pressures are you guys running on the road? My TP always has me at like 36 or 37 which is pretty hard. I’m thinking about running about 30 to 32 which would have the lights on all the time and that irritates me, so that purpose is it worth it ?
I had one on my 2018 JLUR and I recall it being a pia to put in
Last part of this rambling rant of a text is there an alternative just let change Tpms levels?

Let me put it this way, they cost $29, but they're worth $100+ when you are imagining having to get your hand back up there again. Buy one. You only want to experience that rite-of-passage once.

Buy the SGW cable from Amazon and if at the end of disconnecting the OEM SGW connectors you say to yourself, “ Wow I really enjoyed that and look forward to doing it again” send the unused cable back to Amazon.

Order the extension cable. I did not and my right hand is still healing. Bled all down my arm. Thought I might not ever try it again. Did not install and plugged factory harness again. Extension cable is on the way and I found a tech with small hands.

Jeep Wrangler JL Extension cable for tazer needed? AAB4255B-0B3C-4EAF-A9A4-BDA400B17630

The first time 🙄
I got it for TPMS, gears, tires, and nannie warnings disable not to leave it live. My next service Jeep was good enough to “fix” all my settings back to stock. I thanked my service writer for “fixing” my settings without asking, Extension bought before resetting, it just might not be the only time. 🤨

Consider it a true quality of life product for the low, low price of $29.
You don't need it but it's worth every penny and then some.

Been there, done that, glad I got the extension cable. I too wasn't 100% convinced when I ordered it, but it only took once trying to connect under the dash to realize it was money well spent.

Also got one of those little mounts for the tazer that attaches underneath using an existing screw.

Agree, don't waste your money, are you pulling the plastic piece of the dash before installing? I can change mine out in less than 5 minutes

It's doable on a 2024 Rubicon-X, but not easy. There is enough room to get some fingers of one hand up in there, and a small opening behind that black bar to get a screwdriver up there to hold the tabs with one hand holding the screwdriver pushing the tabs as far as they go and use the fingers up in there to pull straight down on the wires - gently, you don't want to pull the wires out of the molex connector. Being a contortionist helps, so does a headlamp. Biggest issue I had was the screwdriver slipping off the tabs. I found that a thin blade screwdriver about 8-10 inches long worked best for me. Guarantee, after you do it once, you won't want to do it again, especially with that new for 2024 black bar in place which older model years don't have. Older model years without the alpine premium sound system amp are easy in comparison. Arrows in pic point to the new black bar, the location of the SGW connectors, and the alpine premium system amp. Get the extension cord so you easily unmarry and disconnect the tazer for dealer visits.

Not the first time, but struggling with the extension I did , I’m good at breaking things like that thin plastic so the cable is in, no struggle- no worries.
