After 4 trips to the dealer my new Service Advisor took the responsibility to declare that the battery needed to be replaced he told me if the system won't indicate that we will make it fail. The policy is that the system has to declare the battery bad before they can authorize a replacement. My ESS stopped working in October and I tried driving long distances trickle and regular charging and it worked maybe twice in 2 months and usually not more than once in that day. I may be in the minority that like the start stop, to me it helps in mpg and want the vehicle to operate as intended. I was amazed at how many programmed messages were displayed when it didn't work.

- front wheels turned WTF?
