Its only fair they should be able to charge a FS just like UPS , etc.
Yes our company ask us employees & we agreed. We have very good delivery team & would hate to lose them. Gas prices don’t make or break me, but when it’s a large percentage of your operating expenditure, it needs to be addressed.

How so? Production didn’t start until 12/16.
Hopefully you understand that there are lots of people that ordered Wranglers earlier in 2021 and still don't have them. Their clock / wait didn't get reset just because MY 2022 production started.

With all due respect, ah... No.

The shipping charge is already $1,595.00 on each and every new Jeep shipping stateside. At 200K Jeeps per year, I'd say FCA is making a ton of money far in excess of what it takes to actually ship the darn things. If there's going to be a fuel surcharge, that's between the shippers and FCA, and I'd bet that subject has already been brought up.

That said, if on the next order guide the shipping fee does not go up, I'd be shocked.
Oh Lord NO, not for us, for FCA.
FCA is already being CA lawsuited for overcharging.

Well, I didn’t say all were delayed, I said more than some. I also am not using the high volume dealer you are referring to - just the same, there are many waiting for their Jeeps to be shipped, and for you to try to make it seem to be business as usual is misleading at best. this forum has had several join recently to ask about delays because there are problems, not exceptions.
Never once did I say there wasn’t a problem, and never once did I say October/November orders shouldn’t be built before current orders either. However major delays, “forgotten“ builds, damaged builds, long shipping times, sitting forever in one stage, and extemely quick turn around for certain builds has been SOA all the way through the ’21 builds so yeah, it actually is sorta business as usual.

Well aware. The poster stated he ordered a ‘22 and waited 8 months before his Rubicon arrived in mid-January. That timeline seems off considering the ‘22 order banks haven’t been open 8 months by January (correct me if I’m wrong here). Had he said it took 8 months for a ‘21 I wouldn’t have questioned it as many have gotten screwed over on their wait times.

For my personal situation, I am not including the days pre-production start in my wait for my ‘22 XR (ordered 11/23). The way I see it, I’ve wait 97 days vs 120 days. Sadly, I’ve been built since 1/26 which irritates me on a different level vs waiting to be built.

Either way, I hate it for all of us but it’s clear that as much as we bitch & moan, it won’t speed up the process. We come here to commiserate together. Haha

Would you be happier if they instead said that that waited 8 months for their 2021, but they didn't receive a 2021? That would require lots of explaining since everyone would think that they were talking about ordering and receiving a 2021 last year.

They waited 8 months for their 2022. It didn't start out as a 2022, but that's irrelevant for how long they waited, which, of course, was 8 months.

Good lord let it go. I stated it was “my” opinion on the situation. No one said it was gospel.

Oh, I missed the "in my opinion" part. My apologies if that actually is in there somewhere.

I have never thought about buying a white Jeep, but it looks really nice! Wait a minute, is this like going to the grocery store hungry? Just kidding! Congrats! Thanks for posting pics!

Okay, we all have differing opinions, but are still suffering through the wait. Let’s just move on, as the current situation is what it is and our disagreeing isn’t going to change anything.
