Hmm….people who like the 3.6 picked the 3.6 on purpose and the people who preferred a different engine picked a different engine on purpose…

so strange.

Boat anchor?

The Chevy 350 wasn’t an option in the poll, even as a swap in

Definitely not a boat anchor, and if you think so, then you probably aren't much of a car enthusiast. However, the "350" ended production 23 years ago....

You’re entitled to your opinion, as I am mine

Production ended 23 years ago, but there are still plenty of them out there, even if you can’t buy one new from a dealer. There’s plenty of parts still available, likely will be for many more years, aftermarket if not OEM.

Plenty of 350’s have been swapped into all sorts of vehicles over the years, and I imagine there will be more, even if in declining numbers, in the future

How is the 350 a boat anchor, again? I think you've misread something. Boat anchors are blocks that are basically only good to throw over the side of your boat, because they can't be made to make any more power, not worth swapping into something, or rebuilding, because they sucked when they were new, too. I really don't think that fits the description of the 350 as a whole.

I’m sure many have seen me post this in other threads.

It would be a Sad Day for sure if I had a catastrophic failure with the 327, and it was beyond repair, and in that scenario, I would swap in a 350, and keep the boat running.

It was 2 weeks before my Third Birthday when we drove from Portland, OR to Gardena, CA and picked her up New at the Factory, so yeah, “Plum Crazy “ would get a 350, if it was my only choice, I don’t even want to think about finding, never mind Paying for a running, or rebuildable 327 today. After 56+ years, I would spend more than many others would justify

If You Like the 350, buy all you want, I won’t be competing with you for those available.

We have different opinions on the 350, and a LOT of other things as well, it just seems to bother you more than it does me, that I don’t share all your opinions 😉
