while I was connecting to my Jscan usi the OBDLink MX+ the engine light started flashing in the run position, with engine off. Never had this happen. I have the security bypass cable. It might do that when it’s connecting, but this is the first time I noticed it.

On another note, I am having misfires in my cylinder 4 on my 2.0T it’s a 2020 and I have over 17,500 on it. Unsure the cause. Dealer says I am probably wrong but my live data counted 7 last week when I check and 1 today when I checked. Engine codes Are not present. I’m thinking cracked plug?

stop looking at random misfires. 7 out of several million is nothing.

my Concern isn’t from random misfires rather ive noticed it running in a way that I feel knocks almost. I was mostly seeking others experience, but I am aware that misfires do happen under normal operating scenarios.

more so looking for advice on why the engine light maybe flashing, want to make sure that my idea of it Flashing due to pairing with the scanner is correct.

I notice it always at idle, I know how the start is, so I understand that is normal, but I am super sensitive to sounds and feel , and I wouldn’t imagine that I’m just reading into things. Seems a little rough like bumpy when idling, I don’t have Etorque so nothing like that

rough idle .. but no actual power loss is what i get from this. But in a certain sense ur lucky because a v6 would make access to the ignition parts impossible . yeah i would look in the plugs and related stuff. Even the injectors maybe

If the PCM isn't detecting misfires, they aren't happening.
