Got the Jeep back last night! Took it for a spin, felt like it had a slight flutter when I pressed the gas, but maybe it was just in my head.

Finally examined it in the daylight this morning and noticed my tow hook is all scratched. Called the dealership, of course it's not their fault. They told me to call Jeep Roadside assistance, have them give me the name of the tow service they used, then I should call the towing company to recoup the cost of the scratch. Wow what great customer service.

Finally, drove it to grab a coffee this morning and the check engine like came back on. It did this moments before the Electronic Throttle control went out last time. I was close to home so I just parked it. I'm afraid to drive it and get stranded again. Called JeepCares (they were supposed to reach out to me by Thursday but never did), and they pretty much told me to park it until my case manager calls me Monday. My brand new car is in the shop and the first contact with customer service isn't until 9 days later!?

I've never been treated so poorly from multiple departments, people, and dealerships in my life! Every single person has blamed someone else.

C'mon @JeepCares, I know people are concerned with the release of Sting-gray, but I've got real problems over here.

Iā€™ll reach out to you soon. Jeepā€™s back in the shop for a check engine light and scratches from being towed.

Itā€™s been drivable for 2 hours out of 11 days of ownership.

Don't get your hopes up that a case manager will help, they do basically nothing. I've had about 5, I think 1 of them did something good for me, but still never got my vehicle fixed. To this day, I'm still having issues and fighting battles.

Follow-up with your dealership on your own, and pester your case manager for any bit of info they have, and insist they pester the dealership as much as they can. All they really do is play the middle man between the dealer and you, but it often leaves more questions than answers.

Just warning you based off of my many previous experiences.

A nonconformity that "substantially impairs" a vehicle -- renders a vehicle unsafe, unreliable, or valued lower than its average resale market value -- is considered a lemon. The manufacturer, through the dealership, has a duty to repair any nonconformities. If the same nonconformity has been worked on at least three times without remedy, or if the vehicle is out of service for more than 30 days, it is subject to the terms of Tennessee lemon law.

T had to deal with the dealers down here on my last Wrangler. Was a rough experience to say the least.
When my dealer was working on my TJ, they had to fix the ventilation door as the AC wasn't working right. They told me to come pick it up, service was open until 6 (it was a Friday.)

I got there at 5:30 and they had left the entire ventilation system disassembled on the passenger floor and all the techs went home at 5. I spoke to the service manager and dealership GM and both had the same reaction - "Eh, bring it back Monday morning."

Happened on Saturday night so didnā€™t even talk to the dealership until Monday morning. No one I spoke with offered a temp vehicle until I asked today (Tuesday). I have a company car so a rental isnā€™t really needed though.

The vibe Iā€™m getting is ā€œWell at least itā€™s getting fixedā€. Which isnā€™t the best customer service when you drop $55k on a Jeep.

@JeepCares is supposed to be calling me in the next couple days. Hopefully theyā€™re more empathetic than the dealership.
I sent Jeep an email about my issue and the case manager called me the day I dropped it off. She had the same kind of reply "at least you're getting a loaner." Either way, called my dealer today and was told they still cannot figure it out how to fix my issue, and the technician working on my car is off on Saturdays so they won't get back to it until Monday. I bitched about my fwd base model Cherokee they gave me and he told me that he would reserve the best vehicle they have coming in tomorrow and let me swap out. I can live with a decent loaner, but a $20,000 Cherokee FWD POS while my $52,000 Wrangler is in the shop for an unknown period of time is a kick in the nuts.

Its probably the ESS battery relay. Bunch of us had same issue. Once replaced will work wonderful.
Advise opening the fuse box, distribution box and seat each and every fuse. The lid has ID of each. Press firmly you will hear it seat nicely.
I also noted after repair, that the 2nd ESS battery had not been fully charged. I fully charged N1 and point N2 overnight.
That was a thousand miles ago.
Over 12.8 volts on both batteries now!!! ESS= Engine stop/start

Did you find out what was wrong? Our Jeep did the same thing this week and they said it needs a new throttle body. What was wrong with yours?

Good afternoon all. Has anyone actually resolved this issue. 10 mins after driving my 2018 JL 2.0T unlimited off the lot, I got the shuddering engine, electronic throttle control light, and warning message, and the traction control light and warning message. The car had exactly 42 miles on it. I have a great dealership that has shown genuine interest in fixing this, but I am worried now that I am not seeing any real solutions to the issue. I brought it back in today, the upgraded a bunch of software, and then 10 miles down the road...it happened again. I have a loaner at the moment, and they are going to work on it tomorrow, but hoping to hear real solutions to this issue.

Mine turned out to be the throttle body. They replaced the throttle body and itā€™s been fine ever since.

Any update on this issue? Just started my Gldiator tonight and have two errors, service electronic throttle control and service electronic stability control along with a check engine light. I have 33k miles on my JTR. I canā€™t drive it, no throttle and will only idle at about 2mph. Getting a tow on the morning to the dealer.

I know this is an old post but I have the exact same issue. I have a lot more miles but likely a similar build date. Mine is a 2/19 build. What did the issue turn out to be?
