Man… I must be living in a different world. $6k is shit ton of money.
nothing on OP but just reading these other comments.
I agree. 6k is a substantial amount of money. If those savings had been available within an hour or two(PA) I would have been psyched. Maybe I'm old and lazy, but I just didn't feel like working a deal further away and making a job out of it. I feel like, given the current market, at least my dealer isn't like some around here adding 3k as a market adjustment, and they won't charge me more for my deal if prices go up before I accept delivery.

$6k is about 1k gallons of gas, and that doesn't last long :(
I know that’s right, but what a jolt to think about it like that... In April of 2020, just under two years ago, the US average was below $2 per gallon, so $6000 bought about 3200 gallons. With my Jeep, that’s equates to about 45000 miles, compared to less than 15000 miles at todays prices. Ouch.

And that's if you're driving the Jeep on a flat road without any wind :(

I live in Budd Lake and wouldn’t want anything to do with Johnson. I picked up 2 from Chapman so far with discounts under invoice. If they aren’t discounting anymore, there are other options. You can get 9-9.5% off MSRP from a broker, Leasecompanion or Districtleases, just have to pickup in MD, it’s still worth it.

My current Grand Cherokee is from them. Of course I bought that 8 years ago. What problem did you have?

I think you are nuts.

You won't drive 12 hours to save $6000???

That's the difference between a Sport S and a Rubicon.

Or enough to buy gas for your Jeep at $4/gallon for 25,000 miles!!!

Their service is not good, and more importantly they aren’t discounting. I think you are missing the point of saving approx 6k over location convenience and paying close to MSRP. Doesn’t make much sense to me but I guess to each his own.

Working a deal? There's no negotiating. You just call and place your order for exactly what you want

Then wait.

Spoke to a manager at the closest one to me in PA on our list, and I'm told they have paused all orders until April and she isn't sure what the discount will be at that time.

First of all, if you are posting just a “that’s what she said”, there should be a good joke attached to it.
I mentioned 2 brokers who are still doing 9-9 1/2% off MSRP, you just need to arrange pickup in MD. If you want to throw away 6k then there is nothing else anyone can do for you here.

Yeah, I thought that was I typed it ;)
I'm not looking for anyone to "do anything for me here" like I said above. I'm just updating so people know the story at this particular dealer. I'm all good... Don't let it bother you that I don't wanna road trip to Maryland :)
